Played on loop in the stairwell of unit 48, a former shop unit converted into a temporary gallery, between the ground floor and basement of Conditions Exhibition 2021-22

The Whitgift Centre has been subject to plans for demolition for the past decade, gradually becoming emptied as businesses move out while art spaces like TURF projects and Conditions move in to use the space while it remains standing for an indeterminate amount of time. Threatened by the spectre of it's own demise, while also becoming a relic of bygone times, sounds captured at the Whitgift Centre played back into the Whitgift Centre, the Whitgift Centre haunts itself.
