Hailing from Saint Petersberg (Russia), the extremely talented Jiminy Hop made his initial appearance on our imprint in early 2021 with his single - "Tension" and soon afterwards followed it up with a milestone 3-tracker EP featuring "Summered", "Contemplation" and "Desire", an ode to the the melody-rich side of progressive house with it's bright tones and ethereal emotions. After garnering wide-spread support, we're thrilled to present our 54th release that features new remixes of the EP by label returnees - Eric Lune, Dimuth K and Anton MAKe.

Returning to the imprint after his debut EP and contribution to our 'Tales of Time' series in 2019 is Melbourne (Australia) based artist - Eric Lune. Ever since, he's been consistently putting out incredible music, most notably on Madloch's 'Sound Avenue' + '3rd Avenue', Guy Mantzur's 'Plattenbank' and the US Goliath 'Proton Music'. Revisiting Jiminy Hop's title track - "Summered", Eric Lune channeled his inner sun-kissed memories and elevated the track into a whole new dimension by bringing in as many euphoric feelings, highlighted by a 90's inspired lead and guitar riff.

Premiere: Simon Vuarambon - Mature Simplicity [Lost Miracle]

Guy J continues to redefine the boundaries with his Early Morning label, a space dedicated to showcasing forward -thinking artists whose creativity defies conventions. Among these is French producer Sébastien Léger, whose latest two -track release exemplifies his penchant for innovation and mastery of sound design.

The opening track, Koi Fish, delves into Leger's inner world, displaying his exceptional sound design skills. Symbolically rooted in qualities like resilience, prosperity, love, and transformation, the track is a collage of tribal didgeridoo textures inter twined with futuristic, dub -inspired effects. These elements converge on a spiritual plane, creating a soundscape that is both immersive and thought-provoking. The second piece, Gaufrette, is a melodic odyssey blending trance-inducing motifs with a touch of nostalgic dream house, reimagined with modern ingenuity. A year after ‘Modelo’ comes ‘Miracle Of The Rose’, an evocative and authentic development of Horvat’s sound. On ‘Noise’, the vocals of Lelah give way to a stripped-down, reverberant groove. The title track rises with a free-flowing melody before dropping a tough, angular beat. ‘Divin’ is the EP’s deepest cut, before digital only track ‘Royale’ rounds off this diverse release with flair.

Guy J marks the 60th release on his Lost & Found imprint with a two-track EP of his own titled 'Synthopia / Cicada'. Here Mixmag reveals the bumping and progressive house anthem 'Synthopia' that showcases the infectious side of Guy J's material by delivering a carefully crafted hypnotic dancefloor cut that blends classic electronica with powerful motifs. 

Guy J had this to say on the vision behind the new material: "'Synthopia' for me is a track that takes me back to trance music that I used to love and influenced me a lot. Good vibes and a lot of energy."

'Synthopia / Cicada' is set for release April 22.

The rapidly thriving onedotsixtwo label launches its 2020 campaign with yet another essential release, this time from the multitasking main man himself, Tripswitch, who has masterminded an incredible refreshing of his classic ‘Box Fresh’ track, having enlisted the studio skills of Emi Galván, Forerunners and Nicolas Rada, alongside him on remix duty.

“‘Box Fresh’ was a really significant track for me when it first came out on the ‘Propulsion EP’ in 2014. It was one of the first progressive tracks I wrote where I felt I’d successfully struck the right formula between my own production style, which was more rooted in epic, euphoric chillout, and an up-to-date progressive house sound.” - Tripswitch

The original track’s significance (represented by the 2020 Remaster in this new package) grew exponentially when it became one of the first Tripswitch tracks (after his remix of Seamless ‘Castle In the Sky’ on Section Records) that Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo really hammered in their sets and was thus pivotal in establishing Tripswitch on the progressive path, ultimately leading to the birth of onedotsixtwo.

With an ethos to seek out and feature the finest world-class talent within the underground progressive house scene, Tripswitch has teamed up with rising Argentinian superstar Nicolas Rada (who is making a huge impression on the scene right now) to open proceedings. This creative dream team’s ability to tease out the essential original mind-blowing beauty of ‘Box Fresh’ with their deeply delicious 2020 ReFresh is quite astonishing. By composing a magnificently subtle, tantalizing, soaring, new melodic masterpiece, they set the stage perfectly for this truly outstanding remix package.

Another Buenos Aires resident, the exceptionally multi-talented Emi Galván, brings his own unique vision to ‘Box Fresh’. Emi has earned a reputation as a kind of crown prince of uplifting electronic music and here he injects his infectious blend of bounce and funk to proceedings to launch the track to a higher level of energetic abandonment, juxtaposing irresistible melodic hooks with euphoric percussive flourishes to create an absolutely monstrous dancefloor experience. Emi’s remix has already been cited by Nick Warren as one of the biggest tracks of his DJ sets.

Arizona USA’s Brenden LaBonte (aka Forerunners) makes a welcome return to onedotsixtwo with his outstanding remix. A sophisticated interwoven blend of skippy percussion, meandering bassline groove and lush layers of hypnotic melody, create a marvellous drifting sea of tranquil beauty. It is a wonderfully subtle journey from the masterful DJ/Producer who always creates a stir amongst discerning underground progressive house fans worldwide

To conclude this unmissable package, the original joyous iridescence of ‘Box Fresh’ has been tweaked to glorious effect for the 2020 Remaster and, if you haven’t already discovered its wondrous uplifting musicality, prepare to be mightily impressed! Because Sharing Is caring, here is one of the highlights of Hernan Cattaneo's SunsetStrip Buenos Aires, a very simple mashup that contains mainly one of my remixes from last year i did for Sebastian Sellares on Or Two Strangers  and some parts from all time progressive classic John Creamer and Stephan K feat Nkemdi "I wish you were here".  So basically Hernan played it and a 18.000 crowd went off :D
