About the mix: Discos of the 70s were intended to be safe and welcoming spaces for self-expression and celebration for queer and trans BIPOC communities, and the music played in these spaces would come to influence the innovators of house music. This mix focuses on house music’s queer roots in disco, with disco originals, edits, and current house tracks that reference these roots or otherwise feel “timeless.” Also sprinkled throughout are personal deep house fantasy favorites.

Josh Steers es un DJ y productor estadounidense que actualmente reside en México. Sus años formativos en la escena underground de Nueva York le dieron forma a su sonido que combina múltiples géneros y ritmos; alta energía. 
Una muestra es su último EP: 'Face Value' que se estrenó a finales de 2022. 
Recientemente participó en el escenario de Traición en la última edición del festival Ceremonia, lanzó su nuevo sencillo a través del legendario sello Nervous Records y ahora nos comparte el dj set que preparó para Por Detroit PRIDE 23.

Marco Gomez aka False Witness /Junior M (b. 1988, Boston) is a musician, DJ and visual artist. In their False Witness persona, they weave through various forms of Techno, from aggressive to euphoric, incorporating disparate genres influences meticulously. Their Junior M moniker, which debuted in 2023, is informed from their experiences in NYC and Berlin, hybridizing classic House with Italo, Belgian New Beat, EBM and Latin rhythms. They have performed globally at various institutions & event series including Frieze Art Fair London, Lab.oratory at Berghain, Hyperreality Festival Vienna, Herrensauna, Spielraum Amsterdam, Bulto Bogotá, SXSW Austin and Warm Up at MoMA PS1 in New York City.
