Miguel himself then steps forward with his own Moody Touch Rework, kicking up the tempo with scintillating keys, adding new dimensions and quirks. Once again Miguel delivers on this package, with refined remixes that secure the longevity of his productions.

Ecuadorian musician, sound engineer and producer Andre Salmon collaborates with Teddy Wong, Jorge Andrade, Le Roi Carmona and Michael Joseph for their first collective release on Hot Creations. The three-track EP is a rumbling journey through club-ready tech house, shaped by glistening beats, thick basslines and groovy melodies.

The creative process was lengthy, but eventually, the group got there in the end. “The inspiration and idea behind this EP came from movies and old vibes,” says Andre. “It all started with a call from my friend Teddy Wong, who developed some grooves and sent them to me. I started working on it with Jorge Andrade for the third song on the B-side, and I came across Le Roi Carmona. He sent me a loop, and then I passed that to Michael Joseph, who started working immediately on the idea. Then he sent it back to me for the level-up.” The title track simmers with a chunky bassline and a giggly vocal sample, in tandem with Spanish lyrics and a catchy melody. Co-produced with Teddy Wong, The Wonx follows suit with a more laidback mood and a twinkling synthline. Snappy percussion and glitchy vocals add a clubby feel. On the flip, Andre joins forces with Le Roi Carmona and Michael Joseph on La Piel De Salmon. A weird and wonky melody ensues, aligned with Hot Creations’ signature take on house music. Ethereal Spanish vocals build tension in the breakdown before erupting into a colossal, bass-heavy groove.

Ecuadorian musician, sound engineer and producer Andre Salmon has fifteen years of experience making music and producing sounds across the dance music spectrum. Drawing influence from punk rock, hip hop, and ambient, he’s released on labels like Drumcode, Suara, Area10/Ultra, Hottrax, Leftroom and many more. Mexican artist Teddy Wong heads up the label Barrio Chinesca Music Club, supporting sonic material by artists based in Baja, California and Mexico. Brobot Records, We Jack., Sagmen, Name Dropper, and many more imprints have platformed his house-led sounds. Ecuadorian muli-tasker Jorge Andrade does it all — DJing, producing, sound designing, writing and consulting. The CEO of MD-Studio blends a myriad of genres, from jazz to Chicago house, and has released on Rave Cave Records and ARRITMIA, amongst others. Le Roi Carmona is Costarrican DJ and producer. He’s released straight-up tunes on labels Codigo56 Records, Complex Textures and many more besides.

Next up on Industry Standard we have our head honcho Oliver Dollar and his Detroit production partner Mike ‘Agent X’ Clark deliver us a super slick deep disco house record with an original vocal from singers/songwriter duo D13 also hailing from Detroit.

The original ticks all the right boxes with an elastic live disco bassline, guitar licks, cowbells, xylophone chimes and a lush string section. Once the ladies layover their sublime vocal we are cruising full speed into the disco stratosphere. A classic sounding yet original record.

For the benefit of the trackier heads out there we’ve also provided you with an instrumental version.

This release is dropping on vinyl courtesy on Spot Lite, Detroit. The venue, gallery and record store in Detroit, where Industry Standard now host their label parties. So this is a collaborative release with IS releasing the digital, and Spot Lite the vinyl. A match made in heaven!

Hot on the heels of Daje Cutz Vol. 1 which featured a trinity of talented producers in the shape of Monsieur Van Pratt, Matalo! and Paul Older, Samosa Records modern funk offshoot Daje Funk continues to evolve. Their follow up EP ‘Daje Cutz Vol. 2’ jumps from 10” to 12” so that they can pack in more of the finest dance-floor groove to help satiate even the most enthusiastic listeners among us.  ‘Daje Cutz Vol. 2’ brings in five heavy hitting tracks including club jams from M.B. Edit, C. Da Afro and label boss Les Inferno. There are also return appearances for Paul Older and Matalo! who’s Vol. 1 jams were picked up by DJ’s all over the globe.  Up first and keeping the labels support for Italian producers running strong is M. B Edit aka Massimo Berardi. His track ‘Your Love’ is packed with groove aplenty. Warm bass notes, funk edged guitar licks and smooth keys all surround a bluesy funk vocal. Building up slowly ‘Your Love’ is soon dancing head first into Temptations-esque smile inducing vocal harmonies and powerful brass solos which give us a quintessential hands in the air moment.  Matalo!’s 'Abeja' takes us off into heavy percussion edged 70’s vibe house music. This one is a gilt edged groover whose Caribbean flow is a real rollercoaster of emotions. With summer vibes through and through this one could very well become a BBQ rave and carnival staple.  Greek Disco machine C. Da. Afro is up next with ‘Manhattan Groove’ and it does indeed have that 70’s NYC feel coupled with a distinct and vibrant Latin edge. It’s a real musical tapestry of influences all flowing happily through its party spirit. Feel good energy aplenty right here!  Over on the flip label boss Les Inferno gets in on the act with 'Hey Santana' which again has a 70’s Latin spirit swirling around within it’s percussion fuelled soul. This is another wonderful track which brings to mind the Blackout Allstar’s ‘I Like It Like That’ for it’s anything goes crossover dance-floor potential and we all know where that one ended up.  Last up but most certainly not least is Paul Older’s 'Amor Mio' and its a real monster of a set closer which brings to mind a Latin superstition with its heavy funk clavi loop. Paul has come up trumps yet again, he’s a producer to keep a close eye on with his deft dance-floor touches always impressing. Here he has looped this in all the right places as it ebbs and flows constantly with its sultry vocals and string stabs.  If you love your funk with a 2020 edge this is another huge release from Daje Funk.
