Live from the spectacular Desert Hearts 1 Year Anniversary at La Jolla Indian Reservation in Southern California, this set weaves deep house and tech house over 3 hours plus from 9pm to a little past midnight on the closing night of the festival.

It was an honor to play such an amazing event!  Thanks to the Desert Hearts crew - Kristoff, Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Matt (Marbs), David (Porkchop), Ryan (Deep Jesus), and what must have been 100+ volunteers to make the party all that it was.  I don't think I've ever seen so much art at an event, super impressive feel and vibe around all the art pieces and deco elements present.  Everyone was buzzing about it.  Such excellent organization and signage everywhere, it was really a sight to behold.  Many people were shocked by the high level of production at this event and the only reason I wasn't is that I have been to the 2 prior Desert Hearts events and also collaborated twice with the crew as "Tropical Hearts" - so... I had a feeling about this one :)  My expectations were high, and were still exceeded...

Last I want to thank the DH crew for letting me extend my set in Treavor's absence (his flight from Canada was cancelled) rather than filling in with someone not on the lineup.  I am biased of course but I believe you made the right call :)

The attentive followers among you will have probably seen <a href="http://www.fabriclondon.com/artist/view/samul" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Samu.l</a>'s name on a few of our flyers over the past few years. He's played across all of our three floors repping his ever evolving expression of house and techno as the setting demands. He's evidently an artist with talent. He's been asked by Shenoda, Hector &amp; Jay Tripwire to remix their original productions as well as being picked up by One Records and Dogmatik for releases. With recommendations from some of the best in the game and an ever building repertoire of standout releases under his belt, we're happy to have Samu.l returning to Room One this March (7th March) where he joins Magda and Craig Richards in Room One. 

Samu.l dropped us a line the other week, offering us a taste of an exclusive new mix that demonstrates what records are at the top of his bag at the moment. It’s also a great insight into what we can expect from his set in just over a week's time, so of course we snapped him up on his offer and are happy to be able to present his selections here.

Under this new moniker he is keen to explore some of his foremost influences, drawing upon inspiration from the heady days of Trip-Hop and channeling his production credentials into a new sound.

For his first-ever published mix as Amine Laje, Romain Poncet crafts a deeply immersive journey through jazz-infused beats, melancholic textures, and raw, intuitive soundscapes.

The mix showcases a lot of unreleased songs that were created for the restaurant Datsha in Paris, alongside some tracks from the eponymous album.

Best enjoyed in a cozy setting, with warm lighting—let yourself get lost in the sound.

Hailing from the greater Frankfurt Area Sascha Dive has made quite an impression on the international house and techno circus over the last ten years. Although the deephouse traveller looks back on an amazing amount of pristine releases, with the first official vinyl
pressed back in 2007, one can still call him a young gun. If you look around in the deeper fields of house music these days this gifted producer and DJ seems to be an exception. This isn't a disadvantage at all because with all the energy in his mind and hands Sascha Dive proves with every gig and production that he plays on the same level as many of his legends, if not even higher!

Open {air} Anahata - 2019

I had the absolute honor of playing for my Cascadia NW Art & Music Festival fam this year and all I can say is it was purely magical. I arrived with a badass build crew to erect the entire backdrop for the event and that alone was one of the biggest feats of the week for me. Alongside playing with so many incredible artists and friends that I absolutely adore, this festival grounded me and sent me home buzzing from all of the heady vibes taken in over the span of that week. This is an extended set that was tracked back home in studio with additional songs mixed in that I had a seriously hard time eliminating during the live set. There is a copy of the live recording but I believe it was tracked in mono so I wanted to put something special to commemorate my time out in the woods with my family. Thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy. This one is truly special to me and will always be held close to my heart. Aho!
