Inspired by how some people have a tendency to get stuck in our heads when we least expect it like a catchy pop song, I wrote this 90s R&B inspired jam

Sidelines is a pop-R&B mid-tempo ballad I started in 2020 about being ready to move on after years being on the sidelines yearning for connection with an individual who all but ignores you. Instead of dreaming of being with them, your desires start to shift towards dreams to be free of wanting them. I finally finished it in 2025, from the other side of this struggle.
