There’s no fairer introduction to ‘Fist’, Joshua James’ latest contribution to Phantasy, than to advise one simply to prepare themselves. Sampling iconic performance artist, club promoter and designer Leigh Bowery, James connects the expert dancefloor pressure he exacts each weekend as one of London’s best-loved club residents with the unapologetic, defiant legacy of a personal hero. None other than Peaches takes up the remix mantle for ‘Fist’, intertwining the provocations of two radical performers and connecting three generations of underground queer culture in one sonic menage a trois, perhaps the straight-up rudest club record in recent memory.

Today's premiere showcases Dublin native RAAB's latest EP release titled 'Moment In Time' on HRLA which will act as the imprint's final release of the year. The release consists of 6 stellar tracks that traverse various aspects of techno that make for an intriguing yet well-rounded and crisp listen from start to finish.

Today's premiere shines a light on the prolific Dublin DJ and producer RAAB as he gears up for a breathtaking 6-track EP release courtesy of HRLA. RAAB finds himself in good company among the label's alumni as he joins esteemed artists such as Dylan Fogarty, Cult, SJUSH, Havik and more on the imprint as 'Moment In Time' concludes the label's releases for the year. The EP ranges vastly within the realm of techno although it predominantly fuses sounds of the early 2000s with raw driving synths, melodies and percussion to top it all off.

The track in question, 'Porto Covo', taps into RAAB's melodic side of his productions as he combines lush pads and light keys while still maintaining a high degree of dreamy energy throughout. Accompanied by elements of perky percussion which results in a track that incites introspective thought all while preserving the groove from the get-go. The track exudes true elegance and is destined to be heard on dance floors somewhere soon.

Potential Energy marks an impressive label debut from London-based producer, and former Brighton music student, Delano. Although relatively new on the block, his productions uphold a sense of maturity and complexity, evidenced by recent support on BBC Radio 1, 6Music, and Boiler Room.

Comprised of 4 original tracks the EP stays true to its namesake; conjuring future rave fantasies that play on the build and release of tension, encapsulated by elements of trance euphoria, progressive techno and explosive bass & breaks.

Re-imaginings of ‘Close 2 U’ - from fellow label mate Debba and Keep Hush’s scg - bring things to a slower, stripped back focus, rounding off the release on two distinct chug and acid tides.

“I’m always on the hunt for old records” Delano explains, “but for this project I wanted to do the opposite, try to create sounds that spark ideas of what the clubs of the future could sound like”.

Dancefloor moments and community have also played a major role in shaping the EP: “I think the majority of my inspiration comes from the people around me. I’m lucky to be surrounded by a lot of very talented creators who share the same goals and ideals”.

PREMIERE: Delano - Hypnotherapy [Erbium Records]

After indulging in the slower territories for their last EP, So.undso return on their imprint Dance Petrol Records with four up-tempo cuts wrapped up under their EP „Imponiergehabe“.

The EP kicks off with the title giving track „Imponiergehabe", a homage to the golden days of new beat and Italo disco. So.undso masterfully weaves nostalgic elements into a contemporary soundscape, inviting listeners to revel in the magic of these iconic genres.

Next up is "Euro Training", a housy interpretation of Europes 80s take on electronic music spiked with trance, taking you on a rhythmic journey, blending infectious beats and euphoric melodies, creating a sonic experience that transcends time.

"Elektrik im Zaum" follows suit, introducing a touch of progressive house into the mix. Closing the EP is "Morso Di Serpente“, heavily influenced by new beat and early house, the result is a track that pays homage to the past while firmly rooted in the present, closing of the EP as an absolute late night weapon.

As with every Dance Petrol Records release, this EP is not just a collection of tracks, it's a curated experience that invites you to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of electronic music.
