For our 59th release, we are very excited to present ‘Rudiments’, a new album by Gooooose.


‘2022 was a strange time in Shanghai. The good thing about being locked inside for months on end was that I had had the chance to find the time to observe ordinary, everyday things that surround me and probably many other people. A pencil, socks, a packet of biscuits, vegetables, meat, or small thoughts or some feelings or emotions that last for only half of a second. They all have interesting shapes and very delicate structures, multiple layers, like some sort of primal architecture made by an anonymous person many years ago. They are constantly telling stories, however often ignored by me, or us, for whatever reason. I decided to sit down and observe them carefully, and later started making sounds for them and their stories.
