Joshua Millett - Ways of the Underground (Original Mix)

It was one of the great joys of my life to create Ultra Bass Records back in 2014. Throughout the journey, I had the privilege of meeting so many brilliant and talented people. I was honored to release the first Rare Candy track (UB001), and to discover incredible emerging artists like Lamont Dex, who later went on to carry the Ultra Bass legacy forward. I worked with legends I grew up admiring—Sol Brothers, Michael King, Mr. Spring, Richard Grey—and I was able to give old friends a platform to share their music, which meant the world to me.

Most dont know, but the Ultra Bass logo itself was designed by an amazing producer and artist, Nick Ostertag. I thought it was brilliant and helped make Ultra Bass releases memorable. Thanks Nick. Behind every good song is a quality master. All songs were mastered by the man himself, Stuart Kettridge. Thanks Stuart!

And then there was the man him self - ELROSE/Thorn. Brother, not sure where you went but you we're incredibly talented. I was in awe of the pace and quality of his tunes. He was a legendary producer and radio DJ well before Ultra Bass as DEVolution (Kiss FM), so it was such an honor releasing his work. Not to mention, Tom was incredibly humble.

Many of the artists went on to build incredible careers. Some were already icons. Some have since moved on to a better place—but their music lives forever. I wanted to once again share some of those tracks. Here is a selection of my favorite releases.
