German wunderkind turnablist-turned-producer Rafik debuts with his
first E.P. »Wait« on @ChingZeng Music.

Wait sets an uplifting vibe with influences from hip hop/r&b, 80s house and
techno, garage & rave all melted into one sound. It contains heavy hitting
sounds but still keeps an eye on chords and melody.

»Baby« and »Can´t wait« are dance tracks for clubs and festivals. 90s
house sound meets huge leads, hip hop influenced drums and r&b vocal
slices with lots of 808 hihat -and snarerolls.

„Hide“ is more musical. Thick Brass Ensembles and wild drum fills in the
main part are followed by a ‚lovely‘, organic and unexpected middle part .
Even if Rafik has dominate d the world of DJ battles since 2002, scoring more
trophies and international titles than any of his competitors worldwide
he conciously decides not to do any scratches or cuts on this E.P. and sets
a clear focus on productions.
