Holy hell its been a while since the first version of this. Tasha I wish you an absolutely beautiful birthday. I appreciate all the good times and conversations we have had in the Band of the Hawk, I cherish the friendship I have with you and thank you so much for always inspiring all of us in the community to keep making! Creating things together, with my friends. I hope this birthday is as memorable for you as this last year has been for me as a member of your wonderful community!

My first attempt ever making anything like this. It was fun. I havent made any music in so long and it was a great way to shake off some rust and learn some new things too. I only had a few days and was already busy with rehab stuffs.

Just Drawn That Way

Well.... here we are. I made a drum and bass track this time! This weeks animal theme was Beaver and I ended up getting pretty weird with it.. mashing beavers up with a Disco track. The weird airy chords that first play and are heard in various sections are made of beavers.. as well as the simple melody in the chorus sections. The section where Attenborough says "Dancing" is a cheap AI voice generator for the lols.

Beaver Boogie

This is as far as I got for this weeks challenge. This song (the original and the Adam K and Soha Vocal Mix) means a lot to me, especially the theme this week. I am... extremely codependent on relationships and other people. Without them, I fail. I become depressed.... lost. Very much the way I am now. A lack of self esteem... a desire to feel love. This weeks theme stung in some ways.

Giving my heart is what I was raised to do, and I feel lost without someone to give it to. My heart longs for people who abused me simply because I can not bear to be alone in my own skin... in my own mind. I am a broken person in many ways... and the subject of self esteem for the Moose Card that was drawn Sunday was... to me.. a reminder of the road ahead. That I need to be okay on my own. That I have something to work on and toward.

Vocal Trance is a big reason why I fell in love with electronic music, between that and DnB xD. These beautiful sirens bleeding their hearts out... I just... fell in love with something I knew would never ever go away as long I was breathed air and had ears to hear it. The original song this is based off of lives in that world.. and I may have bit off more than I could chew again taking such vocals and running with them but I figured it was a way for me to say fuck it to low self esteem and push myself anyway. The chord prog is an tiny variation on the original, at a much higher tempo. The vocals are available on an acapella album, where I got them from.

Every Time I'm Sad I'm Making Something [unmixed concept]

Just for fun really. I don't really record my voice for songs... this is my first time doing that. I decided to try out covering a song that means a lot to me given what I have been through the last few years and didn't have a real crazy vocal performance. I added some "noodling" over the song so to speak because I wanted it to feel like... it was a different thing... a slightly different world than Fred's. The original song is 'Fred Again... & Brian Eno - Secret'. Vocal performance not too terrible considering its recorded in an untreated bedroom on a 28 dollar microphone. There is no auto tuning so I am happy enough with this version for now even though I still... just don't like hearing my own voice. It was a great exercise on recording and mixing vocals for tracks like this. 

I suggest the album by Fred Again & Brian Eno called Secret Life. That whole album is fantastic and I highly recommend it for people who enjoy ambient electronic music. Much love, stay safe. <3

This is what I ended up creating with Tasha's 'Together' stems. Fun stuff, made like 5 different versions of this song, this is the one im uploading which is made of vocal cuts including emphasized spoken words from her original lyrics. I could spend more time on it but at this point her melodies and my melodies are haunting my dreams because I have sat with it so long lol.
