Back Of The Bus EP (VOL.1)

Introducing VOL.1 of my ''Back Of The Bus'' series. A collection of beats that involves Bootlegging music I had on a Sony Ericsson Walkman phone I rolled with back in 2K8. For some of you it may be nostalgic while others may find something fresh. Either way, each track pays homage to the originals with the added injection of weird grooves and bass heavy sound design.  

The first track ''might be'' is a flip on one of Dexplicit's grime/4x4 tracks. I first received this track via Bluetooth from my mate Shoaib in maths. The catchy bass riff took the streets by storm back in the day and it had everyone rinsing bars over it. I thought it would be best to keep the original riff as popping as it was back then whilst layering a fresh dubstep groove over the top and of course, some surreal basslines.

Second in the list we have Daft Punks 'technologic'. What originally caught me about this track is the hypnotic and robotic monotone vocal. For years I imagined a dark and twisted 140 beat underneath it and it seems I managed to somehow manifest that into reality. My version pitches things down, turns the weirdness up and of course I gave it bass a boost!.

Finally we have Dr Dre's 'Next episode' , a hip-hop classic that I can only assume most of you have already heard. Although I do stay strong to the original I send it in a new direction By slowing the track right down then filling in the space with heavy dub-delays, hard hitting sub harmonics and Catchy vocal cuts.
