Him and Me The Same

A study in human voice. My fantastic interview subject spoke about her family, and my aim was to convey the story, the shape and the emotions of the interview without retaining the words themselves. Though distorted through my own artistic prism, I hope some of the original character of the source material remains. Thanks to Sarah Morris for giving me something amazing to work with.

Rapture

Performed by tutors and students at the Australian Youth Orchestra's 2019 National Music Camp in Adelaide, to whom I am very grateful. Writing this piece was like trying to follow a fever dream. It features confusion, brilliance and the suggestions of significance between 1 am and the first hints of dawn.

Long Nights

A trio piece I performed at a small concert at the Conservatorium, still in a fairly nascent state. These are two and a half miniature movements from the piece's total of nine, for violin, cello and acoustic guitar. Apologies for the poor audio quality, it was definitely a small room piece played to a big room.
