Premiere: Marcelo Demarco "Helix" - SCI+TEC

Rene Wise returns to Dustin Zahn’s Enemy Records with a massive follow up to 2022’s label debut, Jungle House. On “Deprivation,” the Moving Pressure artist delivers 4 undeniable, heads-down Techno grooves in his signature style.

Minimalism is the theme on the A-side. Anxiety and Insomnia are both stripped down and tripped out. Both hold steady in arrangement, allowing for the smallest details to shine through. Each track is topped off with Rene’s otherworldly synth washes and FX splashes atop of steady unwavering grooves.

A slight departure from his usual grooves, the B-side drifts off into uncharted territory while keeping in line with the moodiness of the A side. Sakar focuses on a pulsating tension-building synth line in constant flux. Meanwhile, staccato basslines and percussive splashes merge to form the record’s funkiest moment on Cutting Thick.

"Deprivation" is available June 20th, on Dustin Zahn's 'Enemy Records.'

Run by JX-216 and Sone, From 0-1 is a well-known underground techno label from America that has featured artists like Operator (UK), Hans Bouffmyhre, and Echologist, also known as Brendon Moeller.

In addition to co-owning From 0-1, JX-216 is a producer based in San Francisco. Among his releases are Detroit's Blank Code, Coyu's Suara, Hans Bouffmyhre's Sleaze, Gary Beck's BEK Audio, and SUB tl by HD Substance.

For this DT:Premiere we selected "Pressure Vessel" that has a pummeling kick, throbbing bassline and percussion elements underlying mechanical synths, that swarm and expand for a raw, purist, sound with a menacing vibe.

Amotik celebrates 10 years of his self-titled imprint with a new three-track solo effort. The Amotik imprint was launched in July 2015 as a platform to release the works of Anil Chawla, aka Amotik. Over the course of 10 years, it grew into a staple in the modern techno landscape. He released mostly his own tracks, but also recently started a successful side branch in the form of AMTK+, through which he invites admired and like-minded artists to present their take on techno.

After having inaugurated the Amotik imprint, Chawla’s music was picked up by legendary labels such as Len Faki’s Figure and BPitch Control, which gave him a steady flow of releases over the past few years. But releasing on his own imprint has always been the purest form of his expression. A passionate DIY mentality and a deep love for vigorous techno form the core of his latest EP on the label: three forceful yet elegant techno works, where the pounding kick drums are stronger than ever.
