The last track, Technique, is a chord-driven affair with a dubby feel, but still packs a good dose of power.

Mark Broom’s ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’ series on Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects dates back to 2021; since then, he’s released four volumes, with its next chapter arriving to mark the label’s first EP of 2025. Techno, House, and rave, Mark Broom is one of UK dance music’s legends and has a myriad of production credits to his name dating back to 1989. Warp, M-Plant, Hardgroove, and his own Pure Plastic and Beardman imprints are just a handful of the labels he’s worked with, while studio collaborations with the likes of Baby Ford and James Ruskin have cemented his reputation as a storied and vital part of electronic music culture.

IDA ENGBERG is best known for her affiliation with Stockholm’s Drumcode and Truesoul labels. For her Speicher debut though, she’s tapping into a quite different sound territory. “Nothing Feels The Same” will go down in history as the first 2 Step track ever released on KOMPAKT EXTRA. It’s as sensual as it’s booming. Definitely one for those late morning hours. With “Pink Monkeys” is an EBM/sawtooth trance amalgamation of the highest order with enough psychedelic headroom for the festival season.

MARCO RESMANN’s deep involvement with the late Berlin club legend Watergate has made him one of the German capital’s beacons of house and techno. Venezuela’s Confidential Recipe & Scottish artist Harvey McKay come back to Radio Slave’s techno-leaning RSPX offshoot with their first collaboration, the ‘Bad Man’ EP, arriving 18th July 2025. The release, drawing inspiration from the Chicagoan Dance Mania label, opens with the title track, a syncopated techno slammer driven by booming kicks, fizzing hi-hats, and up vocal chops. Fragmented samples and textured stabs inject raw energy, building tension before the drop hits hard.

Going second, ‘Move It’ is a relentless deep techno cut with rolling bass, sonar-like synth pulses, and jacked-up percussion, engineered for maximum effect on the dancefloor, already supported by Mark Broom, Tasha & Elisa Bee.

Scottish producer Harvey McKay, known for his dark, driving techno, joined the RSPX roster in 2024 with his ‘DV8’ EP, adding to a catalogue that includes Phantasy Sound, Bek Audio, and Cocoon, with his productions having won consistent support from notable artists such as Laurent Garnier, DJ Bone, Carista, and Luke Slater.

Confidential Recipe & Harvey McKay - Move It [RSPX79]

Swiss producer Deetron makes a triumphant return to Rejected, marking his first release on the label since the seminal 2011 anthem Starblazer. A genre-spanning artist renowned for fluidly navigating the electronic spectrum, from muscular house via Nu Groove to pure techno on Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR and DJ Bone's Subject Detroit.

His new release, 'Discovery', is a rare excavation from the archives. Two long-lost tracks unearthed and reborn from the depths of his fathoms-deep projects folder. Reinvigorated with fresh production and perspective.

'The EP is called Discovery because it's based upon tracks that I rediscovered from a while back and re-worked for today,' explains Deetron. 'The title track was just a draft, created with the Alpha Juno 106. I added the bassline later on and put the finishing touches to it last year, so it has been a long process.'

On the B-side, 'Acid Scape' ventures into cosmic terrain. 'It speaks for itself,' he continues. 'I've long been making music that could be called Acid in some way, but I've never actually owned a 303. This piece in particular was made with an FM synth (Yamaha TX81Z) and reflects my fascination with space. A landscape on a distant planet if you will.'

A return. A rediscovery. A release that reminds us why Deetron remains one of electronic music's most enduring and forward-thinking voices.
