This song begins as a string of pessimistic thoughts about future experiences. Going on adventures is initially so invigorating, empowering, and ultimately life-changing. But after that adventure has been ongoing for too long of a time, it ceases to be exactly what it should be. This seems to me to be unavoidable. Mostly, this song is about being frustrated with the endless desire for adventure, and the ceaseless disappointment after the journey turns casual.

Anyone who has ever lived in an apartment complex should be able to relate to this song. The noise is incredibly non-stop, and sometimes your next door neighbors have loud, violent sex at 3 in the morning which will leave you scarred for life. In this song, I recognize my own contribution to the noise levels of complex life as well. I'm a bad influence.

A song about the sacrifices made in adult life. Giving up pride in order to just have some sort of roof over your head and food in your stomach. Props to everybody for managing to get by.
