In Summer 2011 I was on a mission's trip in Rock Hill South Carolina and I had a dream about me waking up and writing a song. I didn't know what I was writing, all I remember is writing words that came to me on the spot. It had to be a God thing, because I find it impossible to remember words or numbers when I wake up from a normal dream, and I could never come up with deep lyrics on my own. I didn't really understand what the song meant when I was writing them in my songbook, but eventually God opened my eyes and showed me the meaning of it.

Here is the meaning:


1st paragraph:

 Put your faith in God. Sometimes you're going to fall down, but if you put your faith and trust into God, He'll catch you. The tree was just a metaphor, don't actually climb a  tree and expect God to catch you. 
In Luke 4:12 it says : And Jesus answered and said to him, "It is said, 'YOU SHALL NOT PUT THE LORD YOUR GOD TO THE TEST.'"

2nd paragraph:

Choosing to walk on an unstable surface, knowing you're going to fall, but you keep walking in your sin anyways, Which shows God's disappointment..

3rd paragraph:

Don't take this for granted and treat it like it was just a dream. There is a message for people who are struggling with their walk with God and all they have to do is put their trust in Him. Sometimes when we pray it'll feel like He's not there or if He's even listening, but that's why we should walk by faith and not by sight.

fourth paragraph:

It says in Joshua 1:7
"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do."

Just ask God to help you avoid being distracted and He will, not because He has to, because He wants to. He can help tear down walls you kept in your heart and make you a new, free, person.

I wrote this song, because I was going through a hard time, I was trying to live different lives when I was at church or at school, and I really needed help, but at the same time I didn't.. So one day I was praying and I was asking God to change my heart and make me new, even when I didn't want Him to, but He did anyways and gave me the verse Psalms 62. 

I take no credit for writing this song, because I believe God wrote these lyrics and this melody through me. I hope you like it!
