I had won a contest that included opening for Ramsey Lewis at a jazz club here in Chicago as well as a  release on Vee-Jay records.  

This was the 45, both sides released by Vee-Jay back then in 1963 #573 (catalog).

Unforutaley it was right near the end of their run so it really never had much exposure.

Many moons ago, I was on a local show that started in the 1930's and lasted into the 50s [where it eventually became a TV show] called the Morris B. Sachs Amateur Hour here in Chicago.  This was originally given to me on a 78 RPM vinyl record that I've had digitized.

I was 9 years old.
