Josie Ghost is a songwriter, composer and poet from Cornwall, now living in Bristol. Influenced by the wild places she grew up in, Josie spends as much time writing and composing outside as she does at the piano. When she left the countryside and moved to cities, the need to escape into nature led her to their parks and green spaces. Here she found an added inspiration: the human imprint - from the cultivation of the natural environment to the frenetic activity of people within it. Head as Dandelion Clock is a collection of songs born out of extended periods of time spent sitting on park benches. It shifts from the dreamy drug-like haze of quiet reflection to the dizzying spin of outdoor induced euphoria, where human concerns oscillate, futile within the uncompromising rhythm of nature.
