De maneira análoga, o jovem Tonaco, de 23 anos, precisou abranger e aprofundar muito sua pesquisa, a fim de encontrar referências musicais longe da realidade de sua região. Focado sempre em internacionalizar sua música, desenvolveu sua própria identidade de som, característico de um progressivo forte e espacial, ideal para qualquer momento intenso da noite. Suas produções conseguem agregar um groove brasileiro, psicodelia, timbres fortes e obscuros, sintetizando uma mescla de suas referências que variam desde jazz, bossa nova, samba, bandas como Pink Floyd e os Djs/Produtores Hernan Cattaneo e Guy J. Essa internacionalização tem gerado frutos que podem ser comprovados por sua turnê no paquistão, bem como seus diversos lançamentos em selos e grandes gravadoras no mundo.

XYZ and When We Dip present the Selectors series, where we give our family of producers an opportunity to display their prowess behind the decks. Expect unreleased material from across the label collective, as well as classic gems and heady grooves from some of the undergrounds finest heads.

Nōpi's music reflects the personality behind it - driven, consistent, and full of unique moments. It's a sound we've come to love at XYZ, and his 'Little Tree' and 'Mayaya' have gone down as label classics in our journey thus far. Recent releases with TRYBESof and Telematique have established him as a melodic master, and there is lots more on the way from Nōpi in the near future. Until then, enjoy his Selectors debut.
