Esta sesión nace inspirada en las canciones clásicas que crecí escuchando en el Chile de los 80/90s en fogatas de playa, fiestas populares y por artistas callejeros. Un viaje en el tiempo con temas muy antiguos desde los 60s hasta los 2000s, desde el folklore hasta la cumbia tradicional más un infaltable toque ¨huachaca¨, concepto derivado de la lengua Quechua referido a la pobreza material, pero que en la cultura chilena se refiere a lo popular, lo callejero y su manera de celebrar la vida (El Extravagante es en sí, MUY huachaca)

En esta sesión podemos encontrar una tendencia hacia la música Andina hecha en Chile, pero  de fuerte influencia y lazos con Perú, Bolivia y el noroeste de Argentina, presentando artistas ya legendarios del género como Inti Illimani e Illapu, para luego pasar a una sección de cumbia clásica por bandas de los 60/70s como la Sonora Palacios, Los Vikings 5 o el loquísimo Hirohito y su Conjunto. Luego avanzando un poco en el tiempo para descubrir un par de sorpresas con infaltables hits huachaca más algunos temas de proyectos más modernos que me di el lujo de incluir en esta sesión, pensada para compartir en familia y amigos.

This session is born inspired by the classic songs that I grew up listening to in Chile in the 80s/90s at beach bonfires, popular parties and by street artists. A journey through time with very old themes from the 60s to the 2000s, from folklore to traditional cumbia plus an inevitable "huachaca" touch, a concept derived from the Quechua language referring to material poverty, but which in Chilean culture is refers to the popular, the street and its way of celebrating life (El Extravagante is in itself, VERY huachaca)

In this session we can find a trend towards Andean music made in Chile, but with strong influence and ties to Peru, Bolivia and northwestern Argentina, presenting already legendary artists of the genre such as Inti Illimani and Illapu, to then move on to a section of Classic cumbia by bands from the 60s/70s like Sonora Palacios, Los Vikings 5 ​​or the crazy Hirohito y su Conjunto. Then moving forward a little in time to discover a couple of surprises with inevitable huachaca hits plus some songs from more modern projects that I had the luxury of including in this session, designed to share with family and friends.

Barbarella is the primary music alias of a musician, DJ and producer based in Dresden, where she can regularly be found organizing and feeding her project 'Pauken & Trompeten', a non-profit-label, podcast series and DJ-duo (along with Barrio Katz). She gathers sounds from all over the globe, somewhere between tradition and modernity. The major influence on her musical creation emerges from the Spanish-speaking parts worlwide, with a special dedication and passion for Cumbia, as you can definetely hear in her sets and productions.

Throughout 76-min, the session delivered as the 218th edition is a rolling slice of hypnotic, pitched vocals and slow-burning interludes, all in a row. Barbarella makes sure to maintain the high-energy and stretches into the realms of folktononica,  offering a warmer, brighter take on her aesthetics.

After 20 years without mixing , i decided to try for the very first time to play my digitals gem tracks i found these last years with a virtualdj log(hic..) , without headphones...& total impro without table also.
anyway the result is not so bad, masterised, & have the merit to get my energy of the moment . As my best friend jp said to me :  so much sexy & trippy

”Selion and Sini are colors, wide and slow colors. The elements move, the background changes: this defines 
the space. Color can mislead, can change spatiality. There is an architectural consciousness that supports the 
groove, so as to create a new space. That's why there is a need for low wide bass, slow strong drums and 
scattered drops of echoes, to have a ground, a horizon, and air.
These tracks walk a direction in my music.
On this path I met my friend Frolov who took one of these and showed me another side of sound.”

I listened to it on a sunday morning to get me gently out of bed on a grey & cold Berlin winter morning when I decided to upload it.

born in the fabulous year of 1972 in south west of france.
Passionated by all sounds since child (always berlin in first ! kraftwerk , nitzer ebb...& also london or paris or US house & rap) 
I became a vinyles dj in 1992 in nature , forests, private parties. Educated by Dj Nerate (UK) from famous Spiral Tribe team, i'm  proud to have been a part of these first influences @ early times of techno movement in france with very small audience (but high quality^^^ones  at the beginning , playing house, hardhouse, techno, hard techno, trance , psytrance... sharing the sound in thailand koh phan gan (92 to 95) & goa beaches (92 to 97) , jungle or breakbeat, during 10 years
After a break of 20 years..I came back on the desks , that time on digital materials from summer 2022 & at 50 years old..(!!) 
I like to improvise with all the avalanche of new stuff that i hunt & receive  each day from some precious friends.
Downtempo or midtempo (even high tempo), house, slowhouse, deephouse, hip house, electronic , deep beats,psytrance or chillhouse & even sometimes with melodic or else .
My singularity is to play without headphones most of time (it guaranty for me the essence of the energy of improvisation..)
My eclectic knowledge & my singular way to mix make my personnality , groovy & Deep most of time.
