Born in Vietnam, raised in France. NairLess is an assiduous producer, DJ, live performer and pianist. Before his electronic music journey, he studied and learnt to master the piano at the age of 4. He moved on to electronic music in 2017 by starting the production of dreamy house music. He also integrated the collective “L’Appart Music” with which he had his first mixes. In 2018, he co-founded the label “Aurore 404” which organized and still organizes parties in notorious Parisians clubs such as Nouveau Casino, NF-34 & Garage and released rising artists such as Gallegos and Pépé Elle and confirmed ones such as Ian Pooley. In 2022, his music has evolved to fast paced but still smooth and hovering electronic music with a firm inspiration on old school 90’s early trance, balearic and progressive house. He is currently released on labels such as Radiant Records, Increase The Groove, Chikyu-u Records, Aurore 404 & Nerang Recordings. More releases coming soon in 2023

Ronan lands with renewed focus and a new EP on nascent X-Kalay sub-label, Another Place. Musing on personal crossroads, ‘Leaves of Life’ is a highly evocative contemplation on the tides of life. It’s the culmination of a personal arc having sat with the material for six years, further refining the lush, introspective sound that’s characterised his output to date.

The outcome feels similarly unhurried; a pristine, genre-spanning exploration rendered with meticulous attention to detail. Soul-bearing stuff interspersed with words of reassurance through quietly spoken vocals.

The opener strives for utopia. Carried away on a warm current, ‘Song of Surrender’ initiates with a gorgeous unfurling of life-affirming trance that begs repeat immersion. Comparatively direct, ‘Cure for Toxicity’ comes on a breaks-driven flex before a fleeting switch-up into 2-step territory.

Supple groove and jazz modalities fuel airily introspective D&B as we shift focus to title track ‘Leaves of Life’. Then, finally, Ronan closes things out with a ritual purification of sorts. Deploying more breaks but bordering on new age, ‘Sacral Dub’ exudes a soothing, massaging quality with dubby tendencies in full effect.

Growing up in Munich, it was the environment of Berlin, and in particular the now defunct underground venue Griessmuehle, that shaped the early sound of Jo, then known as ioth. 
Influenced by local communities and the international music avant-garde, he shaped the sound that became the Jotel California trademark: Melting together trance, house, acid and electro into a bubbling cauldron of progressive energies. 
As a DJ, he's proved his mettle on countless club floors and DIY raves he's organised with friends outside Berlin. 
With releases on labels such as Klasse Wrecks, Inch by Inch and of course his own Warning crew, he quickly made a name for himself among musical connoisseurs and hungry ravers alike.
