Welcome to our latest collaboration on “Heavenly”

Ralf’s motivation and meaning behind his composition: 
When our gaze turns upwards, we see heaven in its beauty.
We can rely on the fact that the sky is there tomorrow.
Likewise, we are sure that he is there, he should be hidden by clouds.
Yes, peace seems boundless above the clouds.
From the earth, with all our worries, fears, and sorrows, we sometimes lack the view. Perhaps dark thunderclouds weigh on us and the wind comes from different directions. We can not see it at the moment, we do not give up, but are confident, for behind all the sun always shines. Somehow, everything clears up again and we can say again ......
When our gaze turns upwards, we see heaven in its beauty.

Technical inside of this collab:
Ralf and John wanted to do some brand new songs together, but it appeared that John couldn’t get the right feel for the suggested new ideas, so he decided to pick up an older song from Ralf to get into the same mood of producing the songs they use to do in the past.
Using the same multi-layering technique John is using lately instead of playing around with the volumes and panning within the mix, gave him more freedom adding more details, instruments and harmonies to Ralf’s original song. They used to do different kind of songs then the ones John made lately, but it eventually it worked out to both their satisfaction, we hope you’ll enjoy this song just as much as we did making it.

Es hat lange gedauert, ich spielte und Arbeitete sehr lange an diesem Song Butterfly. Beim spielen sah ich immer die Schmetterlinge in ihrer vielfalt vor mir fliegen in meinen Gedanken . Es gibt so schöne Arten von Ihnen Unzählige die die Natur lieben und landen sich frei fühlen. Es ist ein Wunder wie sie entstehen und ihre Herrlichkeit zum vor schein kommt. Und man kann die Wunder schönen Farben genießen, es gibt so viele in ihrer schönen Art . So ist es auch mit der Musik. Die Musik hat auch was schönes. Man fühlt sich frei beim Komponieren und spielen. Man ist in einer völlig anderen Welt. Man schließt die Augen setzt sich hin und spielt , dabei kommen Melodien die komplett unterschiedlich sind, einem das Gefühl von Freiheit geben. Man ist frei von den Problemen, fühlt sich wohl, und lässt seinen Gefühlen freien lauf. Ich hoffe Euch gefällt meine neue Komposition Butterfly.

Herzlich Willkommen zu unserer ersten gemeinsammen Komposition " A BEAUTIFUL DAY " Ich bin Hemmo sehr dankbar , dass er mit mir zusammengearbeitet hat , wir hatten sehr viel Spaß an diesem Lied und hoffen dass es Ihnen auch so gut gefällt wie uns !

 Hemmo` s Worte : Hi there! It was august 16th 2017 when I heard Oliver´s piano composition of a beautiful day. I was humming along side with the music and that`s always a good sign of great music. Oliver said that his wife Eva wanted me to do some singing and other stuff to it to make it a song with other instruments too. I took the job, cause I liked Oliver´s piano piece very much and started to work on it. Oliver said that there is no hurry with that and that´s also what I liked, no rush taking your time to create freely. He trusted me and I appreciate that much! Piece by piece I started to play instruments in, no midi´s, just playing with my keyboard and guitars and bass, drums I had to program with software cause I don`t own drums..heh.And added some lyrics also. At the end there was like over 60 tracks to mix, layers and layers, busses and busses.But somehow I managed to get all those together in one track and produce that song ready. Now three and half months later it´s ready to listen.And Eva made some video too,great! Thank you Oliver and Eva for your patience and trust! Really a great journey! Cheers Hemmo

Herzlich Willkommen zu mein  neues Lied " A MAGIC LIGHT "  Colin Powell und ich nehmen Sie mit auf eine magische Reise , in ein verzaubertes Land . Jeder von uns darf träumen , ob groß oder klein . Wir müssen uns das Träumen bewahren , gerade jetzt in der heutigen Zeit !
Ich möchte mich von ganzen Herzen bei Colin Powell bedanken ! Er wußte sofort was ich von ihn wollte , obwohl mein Englisch nicht gerade gut ist  ( Lachhhhhh......  ) . Aber wir haben es hinbekommen und Colin hat es wunderbar Gemastert , vielen Dank ! 
Nun hoffen wir , dass Ihnen dieses Lied auch so gut gefällt wie uns . Nun wünschen wir Ihnen viel Freude beim zuhören . 
Noch ein paar Worte von Colin Powell : 
 I am always pleased to hear from my friend Oliver Pakpe, especially when he is asking me if I would like to play on one of his pieces of music. When I received the initial track for The Magic Light and listened to it, a melody came to me straight away and I hummed along with it. I had to try and get it recorded before I forgot it! So I returned the track to Oliver very quickly with the guitar and a drum track. A couple of musical arrangement revisions, guided by Oliver's wife, Eva, and the track was ready for a final mix. I was very pleased to be asked to produce the final mix and master. The three of us are very pleased with how it turned out and we hope you, the listener also enjoy it as much as we do!"

A MAGIC LIGHT - OLIVER PAPKE & COLIN POWELL

Hi there and welcome to my latest track, 'Voices On The Wind'

This track is inspired by this beautiful painting of 'Sitting Bull'.

I started this composition with the violin solo at the start, which I hope captures some of the spirit of the painting. This composition moves through various themes, in which I imagined Sitting Bull as a warrior, father, and leader of his people during times of great struggle and the fight for freedom.

I really enjoyed working on this one and am really pleased with how it turned out.

Matt Baker - Voices On The Wind

"Waves of Love"

I played at the piano again and again with the keyboard ...
Then, after a long time (3 months) I had this tune finished and arranged ...
I was glad when the piano melody to "Waves of Love" was finally finished  ...
Now I could start playing the strings ....
After listening to the song several times, I started to feel the melodies and I played the flutes, repeating until I was satisfied with the result.
After the flutes, the other instruments were added to the piano melody. These included the violins and the cello ...
It was a great pleasure for me to send it to Colin.

Colin's words:
Waves of Love - Oliver Papke and Colin Powell

When Oliver first sent me his version of Waves of Love, he said he wanted it to become an EPIC New Age track, with lots of power. I added several harmony parts that add to the melody and then a bass guitar that comes in later to give some more bottom end.
Then, of course, there are those epic drums that Eva and Oliver (and me!) are so fond of! Plus cymbal crashes for extra epic-ness.
So, Oliver got his wish! A New Age Epic, which was also an epic to mix (26 tracks on my iPad!). But it was great fun to add to, mix and master this wonderful piece of music. We hope you like it too.

It's always amazing what you can come up with ...
This track only motivates us to go further with the music and create more musical compositions.

Some years ago I lived in several countries in Latin for a time and saw many scenes that give real heart ache, children in many communities only ate once a day, mothers had them to manage to make engineer a  buck to give feed their children, are truly sad memories, with the memories of these stories that I saw for a while I composed folk pop song "Sun And Moon", many children in the world  not have much more than sun during the day and the moon for the nights, this song is a cry of hope for the world's children do not suffer hunger.
