Puppet

This song was originally written for a director who requested it for a flashback scene in a feature film which was about two girls almost drowning.  It was not used because the flashback scene was cut from the film. I was very connected to the song and decided to change a few lyrics as it spoke to me with current mental health issues I've been seeing in those around me.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I decided my first song released while in college would be "Body" as this would be a good reminder to myself to not settle for bad relationships or interactions with people who wouldn't love and respect me the way that I am. “Body” relays the message of wanting to find deeper emotional connections with good people and not settling for “someone who will make you change” or anyone who might not treat you with kindness and respect. My heart doesn’t work that way, personally, so this reminder was very important to me.  I wanted to remind my listeners to “keep searching for the one you can’t replace!”

Body

•	“Beautiful Disguise” was originally written about realizing someone wasn’t who you thought they were. People can sometimes wear masks and not show who they truly are, and although that mask may appear beautiful at first, that does not mean the person’s true identity won’t shine through in the end. When COVID-19 started becoming more of a reality for me, this song took on a whole new meaning. Everyone has to wear masks everyday now to help stop the spread of the virus. This led me to create and realize a new concept with a video portraying a masked girl in quarantine showing a few different scenarios of events people are missing out on at this time. (prom, going out with friends, school, etc) The video ends with the striking reality that we are all facing in quarantine with having to wear a face mask when going out in public places, and the metaphorical mask we all put on.  The video will release next week. All of my proceeds associated with this release will go to COVID-19 @ppedonate.org.
