Innovative club producer Syz is next up on Untitled 909 with an electrifying mix that channels the dizzying energy you can find within his releases for labels such as Control Freak Recordings, Femme Culture, and Pressure Dome. Very, very soon you will find him on the much-loved Bristol/Berlin label Banoffee Pies Records. A much-loved DJ within the UK circuit, he has played at events for the likes of Unbound, Bliss Print, The Cause, Queen's Yard Summer Party and next month will be playing for the Maple Cuts crew to Venue MOT. 

In his own words, “the mix is a club ready excursion into some recent favourites I've been hammering. Unreleased music from myself, Tammo Hesselink and Amaliah inside, weaved in with some tribal classics from Oliver Ho and many more flavours.”

This Crack Mix comes courtesy of London-based DJ and producer Alexis. With 60 minutes of songs crafted with a transformative journey in mind, it’s built for magical evening hours that seem set apart from real life. With swelling sounds and an atmospheric build, Alexis’ mixing prowess is exemplified in this sonic melting pot.

In her own words, Alexis says: “This mix is themed around the night, my favourite time. I imagined playing this mix deep into the early hours and building up to a peak time slot.”

ABOUT THE MIX: "This mix was inspired by the prompt “HOME”. Throughout the mix, with each blend and selection, I dig into my meaning of “HOME”. Being a first generation immigrant, moving from Karachi to New York, now nearly a decade, I have struggled with this concept. Most of the artists I have selected I’ve listened to constantly in my previous home of Karachi, and others I’ve seen/met in my new home of New York. With this mix I realize that more than a place, home is a feeling."

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Dynoman is a veteran DJ, producer, and sound artist operating at the heart of creating electronic music and communities around the world for over a decade. Based in Brooklyn, by the way of Karachi, he is the co-runner of Rare Frequency Transmissions, and Tarka. His percussive, high energy, electrifying sound is unbound by genre, and explores what a south asian futuristic sound will be. In his DJ sets he plays to the moment, and is highly versatile, often selecting percussive heavy tracks.

Felix has been working his studio hard this past summer and has seemingly caned out a whole bunch of Leifuryness for your pleasure via the ever impressive @Dirt-Crew ! This record is actually a highly anticipated return to the outlet for the Icelandic Ace, following his well received jaunts on Bobby Donny and Iceland counterpart's, Lagaffee Tales. This time round, Felix delivers four cuts which demonstrate his illustrious production style in the form of 4/4 house jammers and a lesser explored (for Felix), breakbeat, electro structure.  

This premiere is the B1 on the record and touches on Felix's more experimental side. Unlike the wine variety, 'Pinot Noir 1985' isn't short on body or depth - hard hitting gritty percussion is coupled with a classic jazz infused loop that whirrs around and around in a near hypnotic fashion. Well, it hypnotised us into playing it around 38 times consecutively. Whether this be the quality of the track of or straight up hoodoo - we enjoyed it either way. Get involved.
