Canberra born singer and producer Shoeb Ahmad’s new single ‘Horses (A Coda)’, is an alt-pop masterpiece of gorgeous minimal melodicism, striking a perfect balance between cinematic soundscape and delicate, haunting vocals. 

A hero of the burgeoning alternative Australian music scene, his music draws influence from past masters of ambient song-writing such as Talk Talk and shoegaze legends Slowdive as well as contemporary electronica producers including James Blake and Toro Y Moi.

Although a relative upstart on the scene, Junktion has been getting some serious heads nodding lately with releases on Sleazy Beats and Outplay, and the Hot & Bothered EP continues to define his dusty and organic sound. From the summery ease of the title track, to the fresh take on the oft-sampled 'I'm Wishin' to the discofied chugger 'Fling Cleaning' followed by the slow-burning 'Visions of You,' this EP is a beautiful listen from beginning to end. The Toy Tonics crew is known for being addicted to two things: vintage music machines and old vinyl. 100% music aficionados. On the „Tonic Edits“ series the crew shares some of their favorite old tracks - in a reworked version. 
This time COEO get back in time. They destroyed a couple of 1970ies disco jams. Recut & repasted them. And gave them their special COEO touch. Of course it’s irresistible!

“Rabbit Island has made me cry more times than funerals. That’s testament to how many shows I’ve seen and how affecting the performance is. I listened to ‘Deep in The Big’ while walking the Bibbulmun track. I cried. It moved with the birds and trees and little streams and made me think it was probably a good idea to jump in water naked. It flows with the curves of The Big into shapes and sounds that might be the Fibonacci sequence or the eternal flow of consciousness. It is very hard to give Rabbit Island’s music a genre.
