Believe

A slow accumulation of a bittersweet taste, a sudden stream of heat and joy – Joyce Ozu mixes not only samples but also mediums. Encompassing photography, film and music Joyce produces multilayered works of both visual as well as sonic art.

The wonderfully foolish jazz-permeated ep “Just Like Individuals pt.1” consists of densely layered samples and dusty grooves that transcend time and geography.
Twenty-five minutes of playful yet edgy dirty soul music - unravelling like a green tea leave when infused with hot water, eventually turning into new meanings and soundscapes.
