 Even this minor classic from 1964 inspired by a nursery rhyme spoken by an English girl with whom he was in a relationship) wears its ravishingly poetic riches ("when streams are ripe and swelled with rain") lightly, the short, sweet, delicate, circling tune perfectly structuring its superior break up pop song mood. ("...in restless walks she'll prowl the night")

We've introduced our male/female vocal dimension to the relationship described in the song and made it heavier, to bring out the gathering autumn-winter of the final three lines (see filmhttps://peacocks-tale.bandcamp.com/track/april-come-she-will.)
