Everytime - Joy Gitau

Joy Gitau is a singer,songwriter and trumpeter from Kenya.Growing up she developed a love for music inspired especially by African singer Miriam Makeba, Whitney Houston, Usher and Tina Turner. By the age of 9, she began performing in her hometown at church, fairs in singing contests.
               She later joined her high school choir and toured Kenya and the UK performing several concerts.After completing high school Joy moved to Nairobi to pursue her music career.In 2014 she took part in the Airtel trace music stars led by Artist/musician Akon, and was one of the top 6 contestants in Kenya. She has also opened for American hip hop recording artist,Mos Def, ( Yasiin Bey)
                On May 1st 2015 Joy released her single "Are You Gonna Love Me?” which got her 2 nominations in the Africa Music Awards i 2015,(AFRIMA) in the Categories of Most promising Artist and for Best R&B And Soul Artist.
