Brothers and DJ/producer duo, Murphy’s Law, make their Kaluki debut this month with their brand-new, ‘Waistline’ EP. From a young age, the pair have been making full use of their dad's recording studio, making everything from Grime to Dubstep and anything in between. The shift in sound, to the rolling, percussive beats they now play came about when the two were old enough to start getting into raves.

Since then, they have been swallowed up by the dark and dirty depths (and debts) of the underground Tech House world. Boasting an impressive CV of signings on the likes of Sola Nauts, Under No Illusion, Lost, Roush, Farris Wheel, Monday Social and Resonance Records, as well as achieving three #1 Releases in the Beatport charts. Their persistence in the studio has led to lots of early support from some of their biggest musical influences such as; Marco Carola, Patrick Topping, Jamie Jones, Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn to name a few. The ‘Waistline’ EP delivers two heavyweight Tech anthems whilst staying true to that distinctive Murphy’s Law sound! Expect exciting synth transitions, playful rise and fall basslines, acid-inspired riffs, rolling percussion, distorted vocals and grooving low-end throughout the EP.

Releasing on Rekids Special Projects in August ‘24, Procombo’s ‘Nothing’ EP is a robust, groove-laden set of club tracks built for the peak time. The RX Istanbul boss starts with the title track, ‘Nothing’, which features swinging organic rhythms, chugging chords, and gospel vocals. It sets the tone perfectly for the rest of the EP, with the tongue-in-cheek ‘Keep Your Pants On’ boasting some impressive techno stab work while a distant voice repeats the track name.

Procombo’s aptly named ‘Sequences’ then utilises exactly that to masterful effect. Mind-warping synth soundscapes accompany punchy drums while rides slice and whirl above before ‘Mumbles’ continues with chopped-up vocal samples and a more stripped-back techno feel. Closing out this workout, ‘Freakin’’ has a pulsing bass, rattling percussion and another irresistible vocal that drives the track in true jackin’ style.

Having first worked with Matt Edwards’ RSPX in 2021, Procombo has since released a steady supply of funk-fuelled techno records via the Rekids offshoot, each regularly supported by the likes of Luke Slater, Truncate, Richie Hawtin, DJ Bone, Pan-Pot, Pangaea, Elisa Bee, and many more.
