Iván Romero, an emergent figure in the world of electronic music, has been producing and developing Afro House and Organic House projects since 2012. Hailing from Madrid, Ivan's musical journey began at an early age, as he was drawn to the rhythms and melodies of the Latin and African culture . Ivan's love for music and his innate talent led him to experiment with various genres, but it was the mesmerizing beats of Afro House and Organic House that truly resonated with him. Enjoy this week’s episode with PolyRhythm is a producer/DJ duo consisting of David Jonez and Val Carrique. The duo started their musical journey at 14 years old by DJing local parties and learning the craft of music selection. Their musical influences were sharpened by growing up in a Latin culture where drums and rhythms were prevalent. The New Jersey based duo mostly played mainstream, Hip Hop and Salsa until discovering New York's vibrant underground club scene at the age of 18, where they immediately fell in love with House Music. This discovery led them to create an event by the name of “PolyRhythm” which allowed them to explore many rhythms and sounds throughout New York City. The name stuck and they became known as the “PolyRhythm boys” by their supporters. Their varied musical influences naturally led to their progression as music producers with countless releases over the years. Currently they are now embarking upon a new adventure, their own signature label, PolyRhythm Music.

The talented DJ and Producer ShoSho has appeared on Set About,Toolroom, Material, Trapez ltd, Deeperfect, and now lands at New Violence armed with a sturdy 4 track EP, and ready to cause some mayhem.

We start procedding with 'Heroic' with its big drums, spoken vocals and chugged up bass on steroids, all wrapped up in a fierce set of drums that fire this one along with vigour. A dancefloor winner!

Up next we find 'La Pedrera', which beautifully blends the techier edge of things, with warmer and rounded synthy melodics which culminates in a bit of a winner.

'Cumba' keeps things pacey, as we plough forward meaning business. Big low end, cool percussion, trippy fx, clever vocal samples all layered nicely along this little journey, whilst still packing a mighty punch. The breakdown is a swirling bed of sounds, shrouded in a tripped out dreamlike phase before slamming back in to action.

And to round things off, its 'Da Bolkan' and its a no nonsense tech house slab of solidness, full of swagger that sets us up nicely. Add an unexpected pan-pipe line in the drop, some trippy fx and some cleverly layered subtle percussion, and we're just about there.
