About Vagner Silveira:

Vagner Silveira has been behind the decks since the late 1990s, building a career shaped by his deep connection to Progressive House. Known for his ability to craft sets with strong, emotive melodies, he brings a distinct musical sensitivity that gives his performances a signature character.

In early 2020, Vagner turned his focus toward music production, pursuing a long-held ambition. By February 2023, he saw the first results of that journey with the release of his track Solaris on the compilation DIVERS Vol. 2 via Lake Underground Recordings. The track earned early support from respected names in the scene, including Alec Araújo, Blanka Barbara, and Argentine heavyweight Ricky Ryan.

His relationship with UK-based label Saturo Sounds has been a significant chapter in his career. As a resident DJ, he hosts the monthly House Waves podcast, airing on the fourth Saturday of each month. Through the same label, Vagner released his Progressivo EP in August 2024, a four-track project that stayed in Beatport’s Progressive House Top 20 for two consecutive weeks.

In 2024, his work reached an even wider audience when global Progressive House icon Hernán Cattáneo played Vagner’s track Elements of Life on his Resident radio show (Episode 681) for Buenos Aires station Urbana Play 104.3 FM. The track’s reception led to its upcoming release on Myrrha Sounds Music, complete with two remixes, including one from Tonaco, as well as two new original productions: Hypnotic Love and New Times Are Coming.

Vagner’s discography continues to grow with releases on labels such as Saturo Sounds, AH Digital, and For Senses Records, marking him as a consistent presence in the global Progressive House landscape. Whether behind the decks or in the studio, he remains dedicated to delivering music that connects deeply with listeners.

We are back in the mix with a crowd favourite this week, and it's an absolute pleasure to have her back. Her style and track selection make it an easy choice for DJ mixes, never failing to produce a set that rocks every time, please make some noise for Daria Fomina!

Daria Fomina was born near Moscow. She graduated from music school as a teenager in piano class and soon after she found her musical inspiration in electronic music. The people who shaped her musical taste in this new found passion were DJs and bands such as Robert Miles, Radiohead, Enigma, Massive Attack, Prodigy, André Tanneberger, Tiësto, Markus Schulz, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed, Sasha, Deep Dish, Pole Folder, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sébastien Léger, Guy J and others. 

In the beginning of her career Daria played on several radio stations in different geographical locations and has since hosted several exclusive podcasts. At the moment, Daria is a resident of Frisky Radio (US), hosting a two-hour podcast where she invites unique, talented DJs and music producers on her show Oxygen,  and on DI.FM Progressive Channel (US), Subcode Radio (UK) and DNA Radio FM (AR) where she hosts her one-hour show Purple Sky. Daria has also played at Amsterdam Dance Events, Burning Man Project, Hungary and other dance venues in Moscow and Russian cities. 

On April 21, 2021, her first remix on  DROID9 was released, and it was quite successful. It got into the ratings of Release Promo's - Hype Chart Essentials Week 16 on Beatport, and also stayed in the top 100 Progressive House Releases for an extended period.
 
She was the curator of theLIA Series project, which Amber Long founded in December 2021. Daria was tasked with inviting female DJs and organising podcasts for female musical artists from all over the world to participate in the project, which involved over 30 women at its peak.

From April 2024 to the present, Daria has been a resident at the Moscow City Space Bar & Restaurant, which is located on the 34th floor in Swissotel Krasnye Holmy . You can enjoy a magnificent view of the center of Moscow and its attractions to the beautiful melodies of organic and progressive house, which she plays every week.

Daria also occasionally participates as a guest DJ on some online radio stations where she is often a guest in many projects of other musicians and DJs from all over the world.

Her sounds in her DJ mixes are filled with deep and melodic progressive house combined with melodic techno, tech house, deep house, organic house and adding different shades of electronic music.

New Beginning

John-Paul was raised in West Yorkshire in the UK and has been obsessed with dance music ever since hearing Sasha at Back to Basics in the early nineties. Labels such as Strictly Rythmn, Limbo and Guerilla shaped his teenage years, as did weekly trips to Renaissance, Up yer Ronson and Cream to pay homage to his heroes - Sasha & John Digweed. John-Paul began DJing in pubs in Yorkshire when he was just 16, but it wasn't until he moved to London that he found the scene he was looking for.

Running club nights soon followed, alongside long-time collaborator Robin Arnold – including the legendary 'Biotech' parties on the south coast. Everything clicked into place with his Farringdon based night 'Futurism', located around the corner from Fabric. The essence of the night was to push DJ's that were thought to represent the future of progressive house, and John-Paul DJed alongside exceptional talents such as Steve Gerrard, Nigel Marcussen and Matt Simpson. In 2005 John-Paul moved to the USA, and quickly found like-minded DJs such as Jeffrey Collins and Quantum, and immediately gained a monthly residency in The Pearl Bar in Columbus, Ohio.

John-Paul has since returned to the UK and secured a residency on Saturo Sounds Radio. He runs a monthly show called 'Conversations', which has been running for over 7 years. The idea behind the show is to ask one of his favourite DJs to do a guest mix, which he uses as inspiration for his set. It's following has gone from strength to strength, with fantastic mixes from the likes of Ian Dillon, Kiz Pattison, Samuel Lamont, Nick Craddock and many more up & coming DJ's. He’s also provided guest mixes for Subcode Radio, Progressive House Classics, MixPub, Proton and many more. 

Recently John-Paul and Robin Arnold have brought the Futurism brand back to life, with their own label and productions. Their first ‘Collective Futurism EP’ is being released on Saturo Sounds label in 2023. Both tracks and remixes 'Vladivostok' and 'Third fiddle' have been getting fantastic feedback and support from a lot of great DJs.

Always passionate about pushing the deep and dark, intelligent sounds represented in his mixes, John-Paul continues to move with the scene, but never deviates from the progressive sound that first moved him nearly 30 years ago.
