I wrote this piece as part of a choral composition competition in my first year of university. I had never written for voices before, but really enjoyed the challenge. This recording was made in the chapel of Clare College, Cambridge, where I lived at the time with four choral scholars who graciously agreed to record this piece for me: Evie May Cassidy, Hannah Dienes-Williams, Gregory May and Julius Kiln.

The people that walked in darkness

My sister and I received a request from a bride who wanted to walk down the aisle to this song. I transcribed it, we recorded it and she was very happy. Later, we shared it with our grandma who, to this day, says it is her favourite song and she listens daily.

A classic Brass Band piece reimagined for piano. I fell in love with Alan Fernie's Stål Himmel the moment I played it with my university brass band. After graduating, I went back for an alumni concert and some friends joked about me arranging it for solo piano. Well, the idea stuck. I threw this arrangement together overnight and performed it at that concert the next day.
