My cousin Sade and I kept seeing online people arguing about who did this first or who did that first. Who stole someone’s fashions or this and that… But really Ecclesiastes 1:9 makes it pretty clear there’s nothing new under the sun. Sometimes people are the first in a generation. But we all know history repeats itself. The verse inspired her and it inspired me too when we read it. So I wrote and recorded this song drawing from that inspiration.
