Live recording of my first set at Deschutes Brewing's Jungle Cross Party in Bend, Oregon. This set was in the outside tent for a party that had about 2000 people. After this set the police came and threatened to shut the whole party down if they didn't shut down this outside stage because of all the bass. My apologies to Professor Stone who couldn't play his whole outside set because of this, but have to say that the Meyer sound system used that night was incredibly awesome sounding (and feeling).

DJ set from the opening of the main stage at the Threshold 2010 - Chinese New Year (Year of the Tiger) party at 2410 in Portland. This is an all Asian focused set and includes live instrumentation from Daniel (trombone) and Domonic (sax) from March Fourth Marching Band.

My sunrise set of Chinese and Asian inspired bass music for Threshold - Chinese New Year Party - 2012 - Enter the Dragon. It's a mixture of dub, trip-hop, luvstep, dubstep, and other styles. The line-up included Ana Sia, David Starfire, Vokab Company, Pumpkin, Marv Ellis, Solovox, Bridgetown Revue and much more... I had played several gigs in Shanghai and Beijing just prior to this event and spent a lot of time trying to track down quality and amazing music for this sunrise set that would not wipe out the crowd with exhaustion nor bore them away. And I didn't want to play any track I'd played in previous years. Definitely exciting things are happening in China with music, a lot of it crossover work between European/American expats and locals, but local producers are making great music as well. It was hard to track things down I heard either because people didn't know what it was or because the artist wasn't ready to let it out there (I would have killed to have an amazing drum-n-bass track with Chinese vocals I heard someone from Heatwolves drop at the Friend or Foe record release party, but for now I still patiently wait). In any case, I generally prefer to not repeat artists in my sets, but in order to keep the flow going at the pace I wanted, that's definitely not the case here. I hope you enjoy.

My 2009 Saturday night post-Burn set at the HookahDome reprised and boiled down (I think the whole set was like 4 hours) for your listening pleasure. A blend of beats from around the Mediterranean and east. The HookahDome is a Burning Man theme camp known for it's day time inside hospitality with lots of rugs, cushions, hookahs, Turkish delight, and belly dancers and at night it has top global bass and ethno-tek DJs from around the world. It also has what is arguably one of the best sounding sound systems on the playa (even when compared to Funktion One systems).
