The trumpets sound nice and appropriate. The little guitar flourishes are a nice spice of personality. My favorite FM "Old West" soundtrack, though it's not completely traditional, is Hidetoshi Fukumori's soundtrack to the arcade game "GUN FRONTIER."

Need more Spaghetti!!!!...i kid. This is all kinds of yes!

Outlaws -Level 1-

This is my take at “Do it for Him/Her” from Steven Universe in a Uematsu-esque battle theme.  This was also the first planned art/music collab with Kevin Creel.  We had this in mind for our first collab to both 'test the waters' and for a signal boost.

Hello! My name’s KCVisualD, and I am a legally blind Visual Development Artist and Digital Illustrator. Due to a rare eye disease called Retinitis Pigmentosa, I am no longer capable of maintaining a studio pipeline; however--albeit very slowly--I still very actively pursue my own artistic endeavors. 

Pieces of Eight and I started work on this project sometime ago, and finding the time to collaborate our efforts was quite a challenge; however, despite all the hurdles, we feel that our mutual love for both creative mediums (animation/music) really came through in this piece. There are many ways of making music in the Chiptune scene. I'm one of those who mix old and new. But this time, I had the great pleasure to compose an album that, with its chords and melodies, entirely relied on Inphonik's RYM2612 Iconic FM Synthesizer. It's a way to remember that the greatest composers have also written some of the best pieces of video game music for the Sega Genesis.

Thanks to Mathieu Demange and his fantastic VST plug-in, I've envisioned myself composing an album filled with all the things I love. This synth cries for funk and all its sub-genres so much that in my head, FM doesn't mean Frequency Modulation, but Funk Master! I've been born with FM synth music, and there's no doubt I'll die with it...

Chiptune: Mad Nathan

This track is from the second incarnation of Nintendium-118, a collaborative chiptune compo hosted by the PSG Cabal themed around the elements. Each entrant was randomly assigned an element from the periodic table, and had to create a chiptune track based around it. This year's release features a healthy mixture of newcomers and alumni from Volume 1, leading to a compo that is familiar, yet also refreshingly novel.

"I wanted to play into the rougher, more coarse aspects of my material; pure tungsten is jagged, rugged and very rough to look at. On these criteria, I ended up creating a (post-processed) Megadrive + SNES prog metal soundscape, with some huge acoustic drums to gel it all together, and give it some clean sound amidst the girth of these two consoles' sounds. A lot of frustration with my creative rut went into this as well, so this also served as a good catharsis for me in the end."
