I was going to ask if I could download a ROM of this, but this track is clearly PCM only…

Yeah I really like this song and it's real song construction. Advanced for the platform drums (as always) and a good lead instrument (a challenge on the genesis).

This song reminds me a Final Fight, its so good!

This is some kind of crazy collaboration between Rob, Tudd and I. We had a great time working on this together and we haven't formed a team like this one since "Progressions". It felt awesome to work on this and you should expect many more collaborations in the future!

This track is from the second incarnation of Nintendium-118, a collaborative chiptune compo hosted by the PSG Cabal themed around the elements. Each entrant was randomly assigned an element from the periodic table, and had to create a chiptune track based around it. This year's release features a healthy mixture of newcomers and alumni from Volume 1, leading to a compo that is familiar, yet also refreshingly novel.

"I wanted to play into the rougher, more coarse aspects of my material; pure tungsten is jagged, rugged and very rough to look at. On these criteria, I ended up creating a (post-processed) Megadrive + SNES prog metal soundscape, with some huge acoustic drums to gel it all together, and give it some clean sound amidst the girth of these two consoles' sounds. A lot of frustration with my creative rut went into this as well, so this also served as a good catharsis for me in the end."
