A classically trained orchestra string bassist from eleven years of age, Amos Larkins transitioned to the electric bass to practice the Jazz/ Fusion Rock genre he so admired as a teenager. A natural talent, Amos was fortunate to have studied with the legendary bassist Jaco Pastorius and world-renowned pianist Chick Corea. Amos has participated in workshops with Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Billy Cobham, Jean-Luc Ponty, Al Di Meola, and countless others. From the age of sixteen, he became a studio bassist at the Miami Sound Machine and T.K. Records studios in Miami, where he also learned the art of sound engineering and worked on many sessions as an engineer. While producing music for the ill-fated movie “Cry of the City,” he met Barry Gibb of Bee Gees fame. Gibb allowed Larkins to moonlight at his Middle Ear Recording Studios, and it was there that Amos produced some of the first (if not the first) hip-hop music to be heard in Miami. He took the hip-hop work he had produced at Gibb’s studio and played it for Henry Stone, the legendary music mogul and founder of the highly successful T.K. Records label. Stone had just formed a new record company named Sunnyview Records. After listening to this new, ground-breaking style of Miami Rap music production, Henry told Larkins that he could make lots of money producing this type of music. Amos soon began working as a staff producer under Stone at Sunnyview. This is where Amos came up with and developed the Miami Bass genre that continues to inform and influence hip-hop and rap music to this day. Widely known today as the progenitor of the Miami Bass movement, Amos Larkins II is one of the only producers from that golden age who has never slowed down, continually producing music that is ahead of the curve since he first walked into a studio decades ago. That undying passion is entirely on display with his latest offering, aptly titled Amos Larkins Presents Electro Miami Bass Future Classics.

(Jesse Scott - formerly of Deepsky & Summer Channel) is a thirtyyear veteran music producer, sound designer & composer who has released countless original albums and singles, and has also remixed A-list talent such as Madonna, Seal, David Bowie, Adam Lambert, Deadmau5, Shiny Toy Guns, The Crystal Method, Celldweller, Delerium, BT, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, America, Johnny Cash, and Frank Sinatra. (just to name a few). He’s written music that has appeared in major motion pictures such as Bad Boys II, Tomb Raider, and The Art Of War; television shows like CSI, Arrow, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, NFL, NBA & MLB game broadcasts; as well as numerous video games.
 
Jesse is the creative director at Libra Rising Music in Portland, OR, and also owns and runs PSY Acoustics & Libra Rising Media. When he’s not working 16 hour days managing all of his different music projects and businesses, you can find him teaching, hiking, cooking bomb ass Italian food & drinking fine scotch, or sleeping in preparation to do it all over again.
