He’s one of Wisconsin's most popular DJ/Producers, and he goes by the name of J Shiem, a veteran of electronic dance, with a degree in music technology and 18 years of hard work to prove it.
J Shiem has spent years fine-tuning his music, in the only way he knows how, dispensing musical epiphanies wherever he plays. J Shiem started his music career when he was 17, playing gigs at different venues. J Shiem founded his own music label in 2011, J Shiem Records, In both the electronic and the trance world, J Shiem is unstoppable.The last 10 years, J Shiem has kept a frantic pace, in terms of electronic and trance production, where both domestic and international artists are concerned. As a producer of prestige, these productions have risen!!

J Shiem is considered a veteran in EDM with 18 years’ experience. J Shiem is best known for his Melodic, Progressive, Trance and uplifting sounds with a twist of intense effects, scratching, and tricks dispensing musical epiphanies. Wherever he plays, J Shiem attempts to evoke your emotions through his sound of music bringing you a roller coaster ride of highs and lows. “I try to give you a rush of waves throughout your mind and body with intense build ups for the ultimate experience,” says J Shiem. 


How did J Shiem start DJing?

At the age of 14 J Shiem was introduced to a hotmix album by DJ BadBoyBill from a friend that moved to Wisconsin from Chicago IL J Shiem was so impressed and amazed by this blend of dance music and energy J Shiem knew instantly from that day forward this was what he wanted to do. It wasn't until the age of 18 J Shiem received his first set of turntables 2 technics 1200s and Vestax 05 pro mixer. At the age of 19 J Shiem started DJing at different venues J Shiem is a self taught DJ and Producer he is not your average DJ. J Shiem is a mixmaster and scratch pro inner city style DJ mixing house trance and electronic music into one seamless mix with added tricks to his style of mixing.

J Shiem's music styles include Vocal Trance, Progressive Trance, Electro House, Progressive House, J Shiem's DJ style is club mixing, scratching and remixing on the fly
