FIRST, We would like to say that Gwen Stefani's original for this song was one of the most influential songs to us PERSONALLY & the lyrics make even more sense now as artists trying to do a good job ! 

We made this version simply to show love for an artist we adore. Truly one of the greatest there has ever been !!

This originally started out as a part is our Djset/Show and slowly developed into what you hear now.

After seeing there is STILL so much love for the original in the world, We thought it would be nice to round it off and let new generations enjoy it..

The 100th release on any record label is always a special milestone.  A celebration of accomplishment, of history, of a sense of purpose which has resonated a chord amongst those who care to follow in the path of the labels sound. We are so proud to have label owner Glenn Morrison present one of his best works to date, with an unbelievable remix package to boot.  Mine & Yours is a melancholic journey, with atmospheric pads and soaring vocal reverb swells, to emotional piano chords which characterize Glenn's sound so well, to the floaty nonchalant vocals of Elise who carry the record as a whole.  On the remix duties come a genius mix from the likes of Matt Lange, whose dubstep version is so above and beyond what is currently out on the market right now.  Matt is setting the standard for insane dubstep and glitch hop cutting and production.  Quivver needs no inroduction and his remix is fantastic.  Very brooding and within a dark progressive house lens. The Redanka remix has a bit more upbeat feel with crunchy drums and a fantastic string laden post break section. Jeremy Olander's mix is his best work to date, with a very hypnotic feel that characterizes his shows for when he performs with Eric Prydz.  Jeremy is a rising star and is a great musician.  Omid 16B is such a legend in the industry with close ties to Bedrock and his own SexonWav label, and he brings a very Detroit inspired tech house approach, whilst still utilizing Elise's amazing vocals.  And lastly, Glenn Morrison's Club Mix is a stadium filled big room house bomb, with massive chordal stabs in the main breakdown, to a side-chained baseline which is so characteristic of his trademark sound, to the epically smooth vocals of Elise juxtaposing the melodic arps in the verse section.  Overall this is a truly special release that we all hope you will appreciate and hats off to 100 amazing release on Morrison Recordings.  We couldn't have done it without you and we aim to bring you forward thinking and intelligent dance music of all genres.

A native of Haiti Port-au-Prince, Jonas holds a B.A. in Psychology & Music from Rollins College and a M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University. During his undergraduate experience, Jonas studied drums and percussion with Beth and Danny Gottlieb. In addition he also had the honor of meeting and taking a few pointers from Joe Morello. Jonas has shared the stage Sonny Emory, co-facilitated community drum-circles with Paulo Mattioli and Arthur Hull. Along the way Jonas has had the opportunity to dialogue with drum greats such as, Cindy Blackman, Jesse Moody, Mark St. Pierre and Dennis Chambers, to name a few who were kind enough to share insight on technique and musical philosophy.
Jonas is the founder of J’Siah Studio, LLC, the Jazz/Blues/Funk Band ‘Beautiful Brown’ and co-founder of the dynamic visual art collective Four Corners (Art book coming soon). Last year J’Siah Studios released the first of a multi-part music collaboration series titled: Pitit Lakay-Home’s Child. This project consisted of an array of music artist from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds, brought together for the common cause of assisting the rebuilding efforts currently underway in Haiti. The goal of this project is to utilize music as a means of raising and maintaining awareness of the needs of Haiti’s people, providing music that is uplifting and captivating, and creating a platform for new inspiring talent to contribute to a positive cause. Volume 2 is currently in the making.
Jonas is an active and on demand drummer, percussionist and producer on the MD/DC/VA music scene and have played in several well know venues such as, Twin Jazz (DC), Columbia Station(DC), Otto Bar (Baltimore, MD), Smithsonian Museum Court Yard Summer Jazz series (DC), Castle Bay (Annapolis MD). Known for original rhythmic interpretations, interesting and bold approach to soloing behind his instrument, Jonas is a complete delight to listen to.
