"Satya" (1.4.2014 release date) is a truly unique album from Brenda Carsey expressing a new, fresh point of view... explorative, playful, upbeat, soulful, honest, and engaging with a sense of storytelling through metaphor, poetry, and also straight forward phrasing. Both electronic and acoustic elements bring to life this Carsey-termed "Alternative Soul" genre album to life, with strong elements of trip hop and electro as well.
"Satya" is Carsey's 5th album, features eight tracks, and is now her 4th album entirely composed, performed, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Carsey herself. Her growth of knowledge of the recording and mixing process and her development not just as a songwriter but as a composer come through strongly in the final product.
