"Five years after the first volume, ARENA01, Agva Records is back with ARENA02, a mega-pack of almost forty tracks focusing on the experimental and hybrid club scene of Latin America.

Released in 2016, the first chapter laid the foundations of the label and unveiled a solid tracklisting composed of close and local members of the collective (Defensa, EL PLVYBXY, CHLO…) and international producers (King Doudou, Bigote).

For this second edition, the label did not go easy and gathered a real festival line-up. ARENA02 features projects from all over the continent and beyond, from emerging artists to real headliners: Dengue Dengue Dengue, Lao (NAAFI, Mexico), Bungalovv (TRRUENO, Argentina), Endgame (Precious Metal, UK), Catnapp, Doxxed, Pobvio, or even the Mexican producer who signed the revival of pre-Hispanic tribal, Ozomatecuhtli. "Riddims" released with @aballito-netlabel (Granada, Spain) is full of blessings (remixes) from the top producers of underground Latin music from countries such as Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Uruguay, and also Spain.

▶ Now we are premiering Pobvio’s remix of the track „D After“ from Lukrø’s EP Riddims. Pobvio from Montevideo, Uruguay is a well-known artist in the underground Latin club music scene and has been working with artists like Franux BB, SOYTURISTA, and various Latin-American rappers and artists.

[Swine Premiere] Lukrø - D After (POBVIO REMIX)

Chapultepec (“grasshopper hill” in Nahuatl) has been a vital part of Mexico City for almost 600 years. A hydraulic marvel designed by the texcocan Tlatoani Nezahualcóyotl to work as a lung in one of the biggest cities on the planet. 

Throughout 19 tracks Lao explores the imaginative and timeless possibilities of Chapultepec in the form of deep melodies, organic textures, and tribal percussive patterns influenced by Jungle and Rave. The album is a homage to CDMX, the Mexican electronic music scene, and its dancefloor for the last 15 years.

Subreachers is up for release 013. Really excited for this one to come out, after following Subreachers music for some time now we were very excited when they agreed to make a release with us.

A side - Atlas - is a track of several flavours. Starting off in a dreamy, spacey world, it builds with style before dropping into booming bass and dancefloor destroying breaks.

B side - Rammer - is a simply a vibe. Flowing break arrangements roll on top of deep bass, carefully placed atmospherics, and catchy vocal cuts.

As we enter into the 2018th Sequence of the modern earth time, so too does the Nostro Hood System advance forward, the system itself generating a gravitational pull marginally similar to that of the solar system nestled against it. Within the vast confines of the Nostro Hood, a vessel floats proudly – a beacon for the myriad of living spheres that surround it from every angle. The Waystation; a point of congregation for unimaginable beings who seek refuge, resources or even knowledge regarding the various species that occupy nearby worlds. 

At this time, at the beginning of a new year, the vessel lends its halls to the beings of the Nostro Hood. A celebration to the glowing star that lights the terrain for so many beings as it ages yet another lifetime. Providing the aural selections for this momentous occasion are ten artists, each hailing from their own homeworld, each offering a piece of auditory culture to represent the people of their planet. This multicultural experience truly defines the nature of the Nostro Hood – a celebration of difference both sonically and culturally.
