This is my entry for day 5 of the Music Weeklies Daily Chord Progression challenge. Given a simple 3-chord progression, I only had about an hour or two to noodle and come up with something. This is the start of a track that could be used for story/exposition in some kind of barren wasteland.

@MusicWeeklies challenged us to make a song in a style we don't like. I've always been irked by new age piano--especially when someone plays it in public around the ladies, trying to impress them. Given that their songs are usually in A-minor and contain very predictable chord progressions (especially a descending chromatic), I figured it was my duty to do the same. #NotAFan

This song was created for a weekly composition challenge for @MusicWeeklies . My favorite food is (Hiroshima-style) okonomiyaki, a savory Japanese cabbage pancake with just about whatever you want to put in. Each ingredient is represented here by a different instrument, blending into a dense, flavorful mess. The best okonomiyaki I've ever had was in a small shop in Matsuyama called Papers, where the track photo was taken. #composition #challenges #music #okonomiyaki
