Joe Taccone, is an Italian metal guitarist with a prolific career spanning over three decades. His musical story began in 1989 when, still a teenager, he joined Moon of Steel, an emerging band on the Italian metal scene. With Moon of Steel, Joe contributed to the recording of the album "Passions" in 1991, a work that caught attention for its fusion of power metal and progressive elements.

In 1992, Joe Taccone joined Time Machine, a band founded at the end of that year by bassist and keyboardist Lorenzo Dehò and guitarist Ivan Oggioni. In 1993, Time Machine released their first EP, "Project: Time Scanning", marking the beginning of a fruitful collaboration with Joe and keyboardist Andrea Ruggeri, both from Moon of Steel. In 1994, the band released their second EP entitled "Dungeons Of The Vatican".

The formation of Time Machine was completed in 1994 with the integration of Antonio Rotta and Folco Orlandini. With this new lineup, in 1995, the band released the album "Act II: Galileo" for Lucretia Records International. This concept album, dedicated to the figure of Galileo Galilei and the persecutions of the Inquisition, represents the pinnacle of Time Machine's career. Characterized by personal and difficult to classify sounds, the album blends techno-metal elements with epic and gothic atmospheres.

The tour that followed the launch of the album included a memorable date at the Factory in Milan on 6 April 1996, where Time Machine performed together with the Brazilians Angra in a special acoustic performance of the album. This event underlines the band's prestige on the international stage.

Joe Taccone's career in Time Machine continues to mark the Italian metal scene and beyond, helping to define the band's progressive and experimental sound. His technical skill, passion for experimentation and dedication to metal music have made Joe Taccone a respected icon in the global metal community.
In 1996 the band changed its lineup and Morby joined them for a period on vocals, who was one of the historical names of Italian metal and previously Sabotage. Nick Rossetti then joined on drums and Stefano Della Giustina on sax. It was with this formation that they published[4]. The EP, which is inspired by the power metal sounds of the 80s, contained their classic entitled Heaven & Hell[1]. The tour that followed the album then saw important dates for the band, such as the date at the Rolling Stone Rock Club in Milan and the participation in the Gods of Metal in 1997[1][5]. At the end of the tour Morby left the band and Nick Fortarezza joined in his place.

It was with him that in 1998 the band released a new album entitled Eternity Ends, which also saw the participation of Andre Matos, singer of Angra, lending his voice to the song I Believe Again.

Between 1999 and 2002, the group participated in two more editions of the Gods of Metal.
