Dominic Maurice's latest piano EP "Piano Horizons" is a masterful journey through the depths of human emotion, captured with grace and subtlety across four evocative tracks. Each piece is a delicate exploration of beauty, tranquility, and reflection, creating an immersive experience for listeners.

From the opening notes, Maurice draws us into a space where time seems to slow down. The melodies are soft yet powerful, weaving between delicate arpeggios and moments of quiet intensity. The first track invites introspection, its gentle progression offering a sense of calm that gradually deepens, preparing the heart for the emotional voyage ahead.

As the EP unfolds, the second track introduces a bittersweet yearning, its flowing chords pulling at the heartstrings. It carries a certain vulnerability, a soft ache that reminds us of the complexity of emotions we often carry quietly within us. The tender harmonies evoke feelings of nostalgia, yet they are imbued with an unspoken hope, leaving the listener suspended in a beautiful, fleeting moment.

The third track brings a sense of lightness, its melodies dancing like sunlight through the trees. It is a refreshing breath of optimism, full of joy and quiet celebration. There is a lightness to the movement here, a gentle optimism that leaves a lingering warmth in its wake, evoking the sense of joy found in small, yet meaningful, moments.

In the final piece, Maurice brings everything full circle with a piece of serene, quiet resolution. The gentle, final notes feel like a peaceful surrender, as though finding solace in the quiet space left by the music. There is a profound sense of closure, a subtle peace that settles, leaving the listener with a full heart and a mind at ease.

This piano EP from Dominic Maurice is a beautiful reflection of the spectrum of emotions we experience. It captures both the gentle and the intense, the bittersweet and the uplifting, offering an intimate soundscape that speaks directly to the soul.

Souvenirs de la Feuillade - Reflets Aquatiques [piano]

Originally composed around 2004 for a small local theatre production. This piece tells the story of a young couple navigating the perils of World War II. While the theatre has since closed its door, I felt this piece deserved a new life. I hope you enjoy listening.

Caprice is a fantasy, original dance work for flute, oboe and string orchestra. 
I focused on keeping it a light, lyrical and whimsical dialogue for the flute and oboe and kept the strings as accompaniment with a few exceptions.

Let Me Tell You A Story - Milana Open Collab (Jeff Torres Arrangement)

Milana's wonderfully played improvisation "For Bach" immediately struck me as a piece filled with potential power and energy. I have worked in a short melodic excerpt from Bach's famous Fugue in D minor and added full orchestral support to her original solo piano track and hope you enjoy it. When I heard this open collaboration track from Paolo, I wished I could sing, but since I cannot do this well enough to do justice to his wonderful musical arrangement, I decided to add a female voice from one of my vst libraries and just a touch more strings to his already great track. 

Hopefully this might inspire some others to add real voices, whether with their own lyrics and melodies, or simply add words to the melody of my mock up. In any case, I hope you enjoy the music.
