Dominic Maurice's latest piano EP "Piano Horizons" is a masterful journey through the depths of human emotion, captured with grace and subtlety across four evocative tracks. Each piece is a delicate exploration of beauty, tranquility, and reflection, creating an immersive experience for listeners.

From the opening notes, Maurice draws us into a space where time seems to slow down. The melodies are soft yet powerful, weaving between delicate arpeggios and moments of quiet intensity. The first track invites introspection, its gentle progression offering a sense of calm that gradually deepens, preparing the heart for the emotional voyage ahead.

As the EP unfolds, the second track introduces a bittersweet yearning, its flowing chords pulling at the heartstrings. It carries a certain vulnerability, a soft ache that reminds us of the complexity of emotions we often carry quietly within us. The tender harmonies evoke feelings of nostalgia, yet they are imbued with an unspoken hope, leaving the listener suspended in a beautiful, fleeting moment.

The third track brings a sense of lightness, its melodies dancing like sunlight through the trees. It is a refreshing breath of optimism, full of joy and quiet celebration. This piano EP from Dominic Maurice is a beautiful reflection of the spectrum of emotions we experience. It captures both the gentle and the intense, the bittersweet and the uplifting, offering an intimate soundscape that speaks directly to the soul.

Originally composed around 2004 for a small local theatre production. This piece tells the story of a young couple navigating the perils of World War II. While the theatre has since closed its door, I felt this piece deserved a new life. I hope you enjoy listening.

Caprice is a fantasy, original dance work for flute, oboe and string orchestra. 
I focused on keeping it a light, lyrical and whimsical dialogue for the flute and oboe and kept the strings as accompaniment with a few exceptions.

This is my interpretation of Iren Hope's, untitled, open collaboration track. To me, the final product seemed like it could be a soundtrack for a walk into, and through, a small village.  At first, as you first enter the town from a quiet road, things are mostly quiet and peaceful, but the villages ambience, creates an image or feeling, which becomes the main melody. Perhaps as you walk deeper into the village, there is more activity, adding to the original simple mood. The action around you continues to grow until you reach the town square. Then, as you make your way through the outskirts of the village, and exit back onto a quiet road, things return to the way they started, with the impression of the village fading away as you walk further away from it.
