Baha’i Blog Studio Sessions is an initiative where we invite Baha’is and their friends from around the world to come into a studio and share the Baha’i Writings put to music.

“Rely Upon God” by the Papua New Guinea Baha’i Temple Choir

The Book of Revelation is an example of apocalyptic literature, and the beast it refers to is almost certainly Nero, or Neron. Understood this way, and not as a prophecy of something to come, the figure of the beast becomes even more terrifying; it exists over and over again, throughout history. This song is a song of protest, and it asks, if the beast was indeed Nero, then who’s the new Nero, now?
