Transparent and unapologetic in his style, rapper Jermaine Barnett alias KSG VIAFAITH is today's vivid interpretation of a legend in the present-day Hip-Hop fraternity.


Being one of the branches in Harlem's fiery music rap group "Kontraband," Ksg Viafaith has created a whole vibe of rap in the New York district, which is famous for its long black history. 

About three decades ago (1988 to be specific), the prodigy stepped in his musical prowess, despite having grown up around Hip-Hop and rap artists as a young lad. Together with other independent rappers, including; his identical twin Jerome Denzel Barnett alias, DenziBlue, his brother JPD from North Carolina, L.E.S & Big Vince, both from Harlem, NY, their group Kontraband changed the drip of today's Hip-Hop style.


Back in 1988, rapper Ksg Viafaith along with DenziBlue, established their record label called "Sol/infinity music works." Under this label, the rappers recorded and released raw original music with transparent lyrics that speak about the realism of life. For an artist never seeking any kind of approval, Ksg Vaifaith's lyrics usually come off as the gray truth ready to haunt you. He creates music that displays his actual feelings without being afraid of judgment by the world. In all life's situations, anger, grief, or happiness, the adept rapper finds solace in his music each time he needs to vent. His originality is acute and out of this world. 


Born in Harlem, New York, Ksg Viafaith grew up listening to so many other Hip-Hop artists. Many of these, including; Jay Z, Slaughter house, Gang Starr, KrsOne, Big L, Lord Finesse, and many others, he admired for their lyrical skills and ability to stand up for Hip-Hop as a genre. Starting out as a solo rapper, Ksg Viafaith worked for some time with his close friend Cliff Marshall, who also doubled as the owner of "Dress in Black Records." The two created music that changed the sound of rap in New York with their unmatched talents.

Currently, rapper Ksg Viafaith boasts of a vast discography, including some of his latest singles released this year and throughout 2021. His most recent releases include; Taking No Shorts, It's Yes featuring rapper E.O.C, Graphic Thoughts, No Chill, and Deadzone released alongside other Kontraband group members. 


Through his lyrical style and ingenuity, rapper Ksg Viafaith has created a sound that has cemented him as a rap legend. His numerous singles and collaborations with other prominent rappers have earned him pedigree with a multitude of hits.
