An extended mix from Rrose to celebrate our entry into 2023 and the upcoming release of TULIP SPACE [EAUX1591] available for pre-order now at https://eaux.ro/album/tulip-space and the upcoming full-length album PLEASE TOUCH (full announcement in Spring). The mix contains tracks from both releases.

This is a studio mix, started with an initial live take and then combed over meticulously with automated filters, eq, and fx. This is the same setup I use to play out, minus the automation. There is rarely a point when only one track is playing. I always try to find mixes that feel like a new track emerges from the combination. I imagine the optimal listening environment to be eyes-closed with headphones on, but I also hope you will feel an irresistible urge to move at some points ;)

The REC series compiles outstanding performances recorded in the club throughout the year, highlighting artists representing our love for electronic music.

GiGi FM, aka Giulia Fournier-Mercadante, is the latest refreshing addition to our REC series. Her visit at Fuse left us all in awe, and for a good reason. Fitting no stereotypes, the French/Italian artist slides with brilliance between many genres and sub-genres with a selection sharpened on the wire and a sonic twitch that one should try to follow. 

Brutal and soft at the same time, GiGi FM puts in motion a delicate setting where primitive energy collides with a myriad of sensorial textures. It's elegant. It's calibrated. In short, it's good.

By all accounts, Japan is a must-stop destination for techno lovers, the wealth of sounds in its export ledger reveal a strong culture for parties and music production; from north to south, the country more than pulls its weight. A little known corner on the northernmost island of Hokkaido is home to this next guest. By now, OCCA’s a local fixture, whose galloping techno has fired up crowds at Future Terror, Gong, Exit the Labyrinth and Balance, as well as ravers from his very own Archiv parties held at legendary Sapporo mainstay Precious Hall. Intro over, now for the music: his techno is threatening and mercurial, an ever-mutating patchwork of frenzied rhythms and throbbing synths.
