Polygonia [IO/DE]

Lindsey Wang, also known as Polygonia, is a versatile art and music project based in Munich, Germany. 
Her preceding intensive and long practice playing several instruments as well as the experiences with other art forms, inspired the artist to translate her understanding of rhythm, composition and experimentalism into the digital musical language. 
She creates mystic, deep and experimental soundscapes with acoustic elements in it.
Together with Dycide and MTRL she founded the Ambient and DeepTechno Label IO.

It's not just about individual records. It's their fusion in a DJ set that matters. The space in between when something almost impossible is acoustically, physically shaping just for an instant. Vanishing in order to stay in your mind.

The Amsterdam based DJ and producer Jeff Rushin is one of those people creating such moments. His career spans over two decades and he’d played throughout Europe and released on labels such as Mote Evolver, Arts Collective and Odd Even. Recently, he created a improvised live recording masterpiece for the Stay Home Soundsystem together with Jochem Paap (better known as Speedy J).

Since 2016, Jeff and Connwax are joining forces. After four parties (of which one had unfortunately to be cancelled due to Covid-19 pandemic), as well as two releases on our Connwax label, we are now delighted to welcome Jeff at our Connwax Selected series. Edition number 06 starts with very deep and aquatic techno with the suspense slowly evolving to the surface of the dancefloor...

Dorian Gray is the reflective persona of Italian producer and DJ, Moreno Mariotti, an artist whose comprehension of techno music is a far cry from any conventions. Dorian’s musical craftsmanship is influenced by two core aspects – his interest in astronomy, but also esotericism and mythology. His productions formulate refined deep and ambient atmosphere, cleverly connected to his interests beyond music. Spellbinding rhythms, detailed ambient pads, and intervening acidic loops shape Dorian’s signature sound and provide a clear glance at this artist’s inspirational flow and intricate creative process. 
His work appeared on labels such as Illegal Alien, The Gods Planet, Edit Select Records, Substrato and his track “The Night Gate” on Avant-Propos Records was described by MixMag as “eerie and mysterious and the spectral voices that fill out the top end give it a supernatural feeling that is both haunting and alluring“.
Production work aside, Dorian firmly states that his first love is DJing where he continues to push forward, spreading his word in several gigs across the World, from Usa to Asia, passing through the legendary Tresor in Berlin and Jaded in London.
